Following the completion of the fourth season of Stargate SG-1, Richard visited with Vicki Gabereau on her Vancouver-based morning talk show. There he spoke about the longevity of the roles he has played and the fun of playing O'Neill's sense of humor. He talked about his love of fast sports, and about his daughter Wylie. He described at length his rafting trip earlier that summer to Headwall Canyon with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and of the need to protect areas like that from destruction by the logging industry. Vicki also prompted him to demonstrate his juggling skills. For his last segment, Richard was joined by fellow SG-1 executive producer Brad Wright, and together they shared anecdotes from the Stargate set.
