In New York, Richard talked with Joan Lunden about the upcoming episode Good Knight MacGyver in which MacGyver's first name is finally revealed, and he explained that he had been the one to first suggest the name that would suit the character. He admitted that he doesn't have MacGyver's skills in real life, although he is an obsessed fan of hockey, and he has once again been named the Honorary Captain of Team USA, the hockey team going to the Olympics next year.
