Speaking to Denise Richardson on Good Day New York, Richard described the premise of MacGyver as an atypical TV hero, a human guy that is sort of a cross between James Bond and Indiana Jones. He also pointed out that all the gadgets and solutions on MacGyver are verified, so they are credible. He has grown to love acting, but he admitted that he has a good time with the rest of life too, and he referred again to a comment he had made earlier in praise of Kim Basinger. The interview was taped on November 5th and aired on the 9th.
