He had recently turned 40, and Arsenio voiced amazement at his appearance at that age. Richard expressed pride for the success of MacGyver, which was just renewed for a sixth season, he talked about the advantages of shooting in Canada, he acknowledged the extraordinary talent of the team behind the show that tends to be overlooked at Emmy time, and he shared a clip from the upcoming episode Passages.
