SEA SHEPHERD STAND UP FOR THE OCEANS BENEFIT
October 29, 2011
The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's Benefit, "Stand Up For the Oceans," was held on October 29th at the estate of Sea Shepherd supporter Sam Simon in Pacific Palisades, California. The gala event, which featured celebrity guests including Sarah Silverman and Nick Thune as well as Sea Shepherd members and supporters, was held as a final push to generate funds in support of the upcoming Antarctic Campaign, "Operation Divine Wind," to stop whaling in the southern oceans once and for all.
Richard Dean Anderson was among the celebrity guests, and during the silent auction he won a bicycle, a special 20th Anniversary Edition Beach Cruiser donated by the New Belgium Brewing Company.
