WESTPORT BEACH

Westport Beach is a town on the coast of California. In the early 1970s, MacGyver had attended college near Westport Beach, and he had met Amy Austin and Tim Wexler there. MacGyver and Amy had dated during their college years, and they would often spend time at a particular spot on the coast that they referred to as "our beach."

After graduation, both Amy and Tim took jobs at the newly built Westport Nuclear Processing Plant. Years later, when Amy discovered that someone had been stealing weapons-grade uranium from the facility and that her life was in danger, she reached out to MacGyver for help. He took the next flight from Los Angeles, and he and Amy made plans to meet at "our beach." Together they were able to find the missing uranium, to apprehend Police Chief Ed Train for the theft, and to prevent a meltdown of the Westport Nuclear Plant.
