GENERAL HAWKINS

Lieutenant General Hawkins is a highly decorated officer in the US Air Force. His military badges and ribbons indicate that he is a pilot who has served with distinction in both Korea and Vietnam, and he had been wounded in battle, for which he had been awarded the Purple Heart. When a US aircraft carrying a canister of deadly toxin crashed in the Burmese jungle, General Hawkins approached MacGyver as he was sunning himself on the beach and sent him on a mission to Burma to retrieve or destroy the canister of toxin.
