BLACK

Black was an associate of the notorious contract assassin, Axminster. When MacGyver returned from a mission to destroy a Middle Eastern nuclear facility, he learned that he had been identified and that Axminster had been hired to eliminate him. Despite being offered protection in a safe house, MacGyver chose to get out of town by going to Colorado for a long overdue visit with his grandfather, Harry Jackson.

Black tapped MacGyver's phone messages to trace his location to the small town of Ouray, Colorado, and there he and Axminster joined a team of six other men to pursue MacGyver and his grandfather. Using several clever survival strategies such as poisoned darts in a blow gun, dropping a tree branch on a jeep, land mines made from pine cones, and spontaneous combustion of grain dust, MacGyver and Harry were able to eliminate six of the men until only Black and Axminster remained after tracking MacGyver and Harry to the deserted town of Evermore.

Despite having been wounded when a bullet grazed his lower right abdomen, Harry assisted his grandson in creating booby traps for defense. He lured Black away with the sound of gunshots made by exploding pine nuts and then knocked him out with a blow to the head from a piece of wood, and MacGyver succeeded in knocking out Axminster by causing a balcony to collapse on him. Axminster and his men would have been taken into custody as soon as MacGyver and Harry were able to reach the authorities.
