When Richard visited with Howie Mandel on his Los Angeles talk show, he began by sharing his absolute joy in his role as a new father, and Apryl and 7-week-old Wylie were shown watching from the wings. He described himself as an enthusiastically involved father, and he described how he had chosen her name of Wylie Quinn Annarose. He acknowledged that he is still recognized and often expected to be MacGyver, and he shared a clip from The Broca Divide as he talked about his new series, Stargate SG-1, now airing its second season.
