WATER PLANET

The Water Planet was discovered by the Russians during the seventh mission of the newly established Russian stargate program. It contains the ruins of an ancient extinct civilization, now completely under water. There are no signs of plant or animal life, however microscopic intelligent life-forms in the water give the water the properties of a living entity. When energy from the water would not allow the gate to be shut down, members of SG-1 traveled to the planet through the Russian stargate using a mini-submarine in an attempt to disconnect the wormhole.
