GALAR

Galar is a world with a technological level similar to Earth. Although Galar was originally occupied by the Goa'uld, it has been under the protection of the Asgard for many generations, and technological advancement has flourished. Galar's modern cities have skyscrapers and mass transportation, and the Galarans have recently mastered stargate travel and have visited over a dozen inhabited worlds. The archaeological discovery of a Goa'uld memory device led to the development of memory implant technology, and when SG-1 first visited the planet, the Galarans were anxious to demonstrate their device and establish diplomatic relations with Earth.
