Even the cookie trick isn't working now. :? Do you think it would help if I just created a brand new forum with a new address like "phpbbforum" and tried to import all the data into it so that it would take the spambots a little longer to find it?? Kate It would help, what the server log ...

A hint from other forums is to rename the cookie prefix of the phpbb forum. Worth a try, but i know, Kate, that's techno bubble... in config.php it may be visible...
This results in everbody gets new cookie.

Its definitely a cache problem. Everytime I'm able to delete the board's cookies its normal.
