TV GUIDE HOLLYWOOD GRAPEVINE
July 1, 2000

Jack O'Neill A brief mention of Richard Dean Anderson appeared in Mark Schwed's "Hollywood Grapevine" column of the July 1st issue of TV Guide:

Life is beautiful for Richard Dean Anderson. His 1980s ABC series MacGyver is still going strong in syndication, he's shooting his fourth season of Stargate SG-1 for Showtime, and syndicated repeats of SG-1 are occasionally beating out such faves as V.I.P. and Xena:Warrior Princess. "It's inane competition," Anderson says. "I'm not a fan of that [campy action] genre." But that has nothing to do with his happy state of mind. "What makes things so good right now is I've got a baby, Wylie, who turns 2 in August," he says. "She makes everything worth it. In fact, I just got back from the park. We discovered ducks and pigeons, and we slopped around in the mud for two hours. She's altered my life in the most positive way imaginable."
