After spending some time with his daughter in Edinburgh, Richard headed south to England for the first in a marathon of conventions over the next couple of months.

Richard's first appearance was at Starfury: Ascension, held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, UK. There he was reunited with several of his Stargate costars, including Michael Shanks, Corin Nemec, Teryl Rothery, Lexa Doig, Alex Zahara, Dan Payne, and Anna-Louise Plowman.

Richard joined his castmates at the Opening and Closing ceremonies, and he met with fans in several exclusive Meet & Greet sessions for VIP ticket holders. He also appeared twice at Question & Answer panels, first with Teryl Rothery on Saturday, and then with Michael Shanks on Sunday.

In addition, during autograph sessions and photo ops, Richard met individually with fans... and dogs.
