NOTES OF INTEREST:
According to the Antarctic Treaty, 12 nations, including the US, claim shared jurisdiction in Antarctica, and article one forbids the establishment of any military base or the testing of weapons.
The High Council of the System Lords is a rather flimsy coalition of the most powerful Goa’uld in the galaxy who only cooperate when it suits them. There are currently approximately a dozen members, but their numbers vary as new ones rise and old ones are kicked off.
Earth’s unexpected defeat of Anubis created an unstable situation among the System Lords who agreed to divide Anubis’s territories and his armies evenly.
Ba’al has broken the agreement of the System Lords, has discovered the location of Tartarus, and has programmed the Kull Warriors to serve him, tipping the balance of power in his favor.
The System Lords offered hyperdrive engines in exchange for Earth’s support in defeating Ba’al. Dr. Weir demanded all Ba’al’s possessions in return.
The System Lord delegates are Camulus, Celtic god of war, Amaterasu, Japanese sun goddess, and Lord Yu.
Lord Yu was the one System Lord who opposed Anubis’s desire to be reinstated to the High Council after his banishment. He fell out of favor when the other System Lords accepted Anubis back, but has used his power to become their de facto leader now that Anubis is gone.
Lord Yu is suffering from old age and senility, the sarcophagus is no longer effective, and he no longer has the ability to take a new host.
Hala is in the Othala galaxy. The modified cargo ship was able to reach the Othala galaxy in approximately 10 days, before the hyperdrive engines were destroyed.
The time dilation field on Hala served to trap the Replicators for less than two years. Therefore the Asgard collapsed Hala’s sun by artificially increasing its gravitational field and creating a black hole which destroyed the planet.
The Replicators were able to use the time dilation device to counteract the gravitational effects of the black hole and escape.
A fleet of approximately six Asgard ships under the command of Aegir of the Valhalla fired upon the Replicator ship above Orilla.
Orilla is the new Asgard homeworld where the Asgard are attempting to rebuild their civilization.
Neutronium is a key element in Asgard technology, and is also essential for the creation of human-form Replicators. Orilla is rich in neutronium.
The Protected Planets Treaty includes 26 other planets, plus Earth.
SG-7 met the Goa’uld delegates offworld and escorted them back to the SGC for the negotiations.
Orak means “unspeakable”, and was used to refer to the Kull Warriors.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
The System Lords can’t be trusted either as a group or individuals. They’re posturing egomaniacs, driven by an insatiable lust for power, each one capable of unimaginable evil. [Daniel]
See? Why should I be nervous? It sounds like an average day at the United Nations. [Weir]
Yu? [Weir]
Don’t. Every joke, every pun - done to death, seriously. [Daniel]
That’s the bright side? [Weir]
More of a slightly less dark side. [Daniel]

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Asgard had carried numerous stored minds aboard the computers of Asgard ships when they fled their homeworld. When Orilla was found, those minds were placed into cloned bodies to begin building a new colony. Orilla is the last chance of ever rebuilding the Asgard empire.
The disrupter seems to permanently disrupt all communication between the individual Replicator cells, rendering each one inert.
Camulus’s domain had been among the first to fall to Ba’al, and his fleet has been destroyed.
The United States Air Force Prometheus is under the command of Colonel Lionel Pendergast.
Thor’s new ship is named the “Daniel Jackson”.
Elizabeth Weir will supervise the research at the Ancient Outpost in Antarctica.
General Hammond is promoted to the Pentagon to oversee all things relating to Earth’s defense, including the SGC, 303 Program, and Antarctic Site. Unofficially the position is called “Homeworld Security”.
Samantha Carter is promoted to lieutenant colonel.
Jack O’Neill is promoted to brigadier general.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
I’ve never looked better. [O’Neill]
What’s the last thing you remember? [Daniel]
Getting my head sucked by one of those dang Ancient head-suckers... and something about twins. [O’Neill]
Teal’c, what’s with the hair? [O’Neill]
Got legs... whoa. [O’Neill]
Who’s your daddy!! [O’Neill]
You risk your life over and over and ask for nothing in return. [Weir]
Well, don’t be fooled. I’m making a list. [O’Neill]
I should be clear. I’d like the promotion, the paycheck, and the parking spot, but I don’t really want to be in charge of anything. [O’Neill]
I’ve spent my whole life sticking it to the man. If I do this, I’ll be the man. I don’t think I can be the man. [O’Neill]
If you don’t take the job, we could end up with someone much worse. Okay, that didn’t come out right. [Carter]
Now, raise your right hand and repeat after me. I, insert name... [O’Neill]

The physical form Anubis had taken was actually a force shield designed to contain his essence. Following his destruction over Antarctica, his essence was released. Using his ascended powers would alert the Ancients and bring down their wrath upon him. He needs a body to dial the stargate and escape.
Anubis survived within space debris before entering Anatole Konstantinov aboard the International Space Station, followed by Alexi Vaselov, Daniel, Lieutenant Evans, Airman Malcolm McCaffrey, Carter, O’Neill, and Vaselov.
Retaining Anubis’s essense exacts a physical toll on the carrier, with symptoms including loss of memory, skin lesions, and highly elevated white blood count. Prolonged exposure destroys the immune system.
Colonel Alexi Vaselov is one of the most highly decorated officers in Russian military history. He has had many years of service in the Russian Air Force, over 20 years of flight experience, over 3000 flight hours on more than 35 types of aircraft and prototypes, and has been awarded the High Order of Russia. Anatole Konstantinov and Alexi Vaselov had served together in the Russian Air Force.
Anubis and Vaselov are sent to KS7-535. Chilly.
Daniel speaks Russian. He had helped to broker the deal for the stargate between the US and Russia.
There is nothing in the regulations that says an SG team has to be made up of four people.
Daniel was scheduled to go offworld with SG-11 when the gate was shut down.
Teal’c expects to acquire possession of his first apartment on Tuesday, with an apartment-warming party to follow on Saturday.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Oy, one crisis after another. This morning the mess got a shipment of Yukon Gold potatoes instead of the usual Russets. Oh yes. The Golds don’t make for a good mash. The consistency’s all wrong. [O’Neill]
I hear the new Russian colonel came to see you, made a pitch to join SG-1. [Carter]
What did you say? [Daniel]
I told them to make French fries instead. [O’Neill]
His attitude has nothing to do with your being Russian. He’s an equal opportunity offender. [Daniel]
Did you notice anything peculiar about him, sir? [Carter]
I thought it odd he was shooting up the gateroom. [O’Neill]
You have no recollection of the incident? [Teal’c]
No, who shot me?! [Daniel]
Don’t... change the subject. [O’Neill]
You’d think getting blasted out of orbit would have slowed the guy down. [O’Neill]
Why doesn’t he just use his... freaky super-cosmic powers and just... go? [O’Neill]
Yeah, Dr. Brightman caught me stealing jell-o from the other patients’ trays, so she kicked me out of here. [Daniel]
"The cord may curl long, but an end will appear." That holds true for everything in this world, myself included. I accept this. [Vaselov]
"In the kingdom of hope, there is no winter." I prefer that one. [Daniel]
You’re not supposed to be walking around. [O’Neill]
It’s my arm. [Daniel]

ZERO HOUR
Planet: P2X-887 Planet Description: Deserted secret base of Anubis Inhabitants: Currently uninhabited Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Mark Gilmor is a civilian who had been an analyst at the CIA for the last eight years, with top-level clearance, mostly doing background checks, before being sent on special temporary assignment as O’Neill’s new administrative aide.
P2X-887 had formerly been within Anubis’s domain and held a secret base for which Ba’al was searching, but which contains no significant defense technologies.
The plant from P6J-908 grew from a seed to a plant in 20 minutes. By the second day it had spread beyond the lab to the entire level, showing resistance to both machete and blow torch. By day three it had entered the walls and shut down power and communication systems. It responds dramatically to visible light, but can be eradicated using gamma radiation.
The ZPM, or zero-point module, is an Ancient power source that draws its energy from subspace and is the only thing powerful enough to activate the Ancient Defense Weapons found in Antarctica.
SG-2 completed a mission to P8F-809.
SG-3 accompanied SG-1 to P2X-887.
SG-5 returned with the Amra delegates to discuss a pending trade agreement.
SG-8 returned from P6J-908 with the alien plant.
SG-10 and SG-12 joined SG-3 in the rescue mission for SG-1.
Fourteen teams were currently off-world.
O’Neill addresses the technician as Walter.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
He’s not like other generals. [Gilmor]
Actually, he’s not like other people. [Walter]
Nothing in peridot? [O’Neill]
I know, sir. But every time I open my mouth to say "George," "General" comes out. [O’Neill]
Is that snippiness? [O’Neill]
Is that a word? [Daniel]
Knock twice when you’re ready to talk like adults, all right? [O’Neill]
Dear General Hammond... Wish you were here, and that I was... not. [O’Neill]
Did they try the doughnuts? You made sure they were Krispy Kremes, right? [O’Neill]
Well, the good news is it hasn’t eaten anybody yet. [Lee]
Well, thank you, Seymour. [O’Neill]
I thought you were just going to question him. [Gilmor]
He didn’t have the right answers. [O’Neill]
I knew it wasn’t easy for you, but had I known what it was really like, I would have tried to be less of a pain in the... ass. At least, I would have tried harder. [O’Neill]
Before you know it, you’ll have old Camel-ass back in your grubby little mitts. [O’Neill]
You dare mock me? [Ba’al]
Ba’al, come on. You should know. Of course I dare mock you. [O’Neill]
Is it really wise to provoke him? [Gilmor]
It’s what I do. [O’Neill]
Wait a minute. I think there’s a joke in there somewhere... Got nothing. [O’Neill]

Great Ring of Avidan is the local name of the stargate, first discovered in the Kirellian Wastelands over 150 years ago and believed to be at least several thousand years old. It became the highlight of the antiquities collection at the museum.
The two major powers on the planet, the Rand Protectorate (under Commander Gareth) and the Caledonian Federation (under Minister Treydan), have been locked in a state of cold war for decades.
History tells of an age when all-powerful gods ruled over the planet, and the Great Ring was supposedly the source of their power. The group of religious fundamentalists led by Soren thinks that all life on the planet was created by ancient gods and that these gods will someday return and reward them for their faith.
Three months passed from SG-1’s first contact to Soren’s followers seizing control of the Rand Protectorate.
Soren renamed the Rand Protectorate "Avidan." The name is from an ancient Goa’uld dialect meaning "the gods are just."
SG-9 attempted to negotiate with Soren for assistance in locating Daniel.
SG-1, SG-3, SG-6, and SG-12 coordinated the attack to retake the bunker.

The virtual reality chairs were acquired from P7J-989 six years ago. For two years, Dr. Lee and a team of SGC scientists have been working to make them a viable virtual reality training tool for SGC personnel.
The chair is directly linked to the brain, and the simulation learns its realism from the person using it. The new shutoff command is in the internal program so that only the player can control it. Once the player’s mind is interfaced with the chair, he cannot be forcibly removed from the connection without risking serious or possibly fatal neural damage.
The chair decides the scenario, a data recorder interfaced into the system tracks the game and generates the graphics, but causes a 2-second delay before the player experiences each event and responds, then those responses are incorporated and processed and the result appears on the screen. The second chair was hooked up to the first without using the recorder in the loop, so the second player would experience each event without the 2-second delay, resulting in the effect of virtual precognition.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Carter, all I heard was "Matrix", and I found those films quite confusing. [O’Neill]

O’Neill had petitioned the Office of Special Investigations to allow Teal’c to live offbase now that he no longer carries a symbiote and is less of a security risk. The request was approved under certain provisions that required him to keep a low profile.
Teal’c used the cover story that Dr. Daniel Jackson was an archaeologist who had hired him to come over from Mozambique, and that his tattoo is a tribal mark from his homeland.
Teal’c’s apartment was number 403. Krista James lives next door at number 402.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
After the Alpha Site was destroyed in an attack, it was moved to P4X-650, a forested planet 640 light years from Earth, and the base was built inside a mountain.
Asgard DNA is programmed to grow clones to maturity in just three months, but they’re essentially an empty shell until an existing consciousness can be transferred into them.
Carter takes first seat as the pilot of the F-302.
Alec Colson, age 42, has a net worth of over $60 billion, runs a global empire of companies including communications, biotechnology, aerospace, and aviation, and is number eight on the Fortune 500. He personally holds over 200 proprietary patents, and owns several Earth observer and weather satellites. He is a pilot and a brilliant engineer.
Colson’s father was a newspaper reporter who was jailed during the McCarthy Era, and he believes strongly in the freedom of speech. Colson’s wife and daughter died in a plane crash when he was 24, which led to his development of Colson Aviation.
Colson Industries’ head office is in Seattle. Colson Aviation developed the multi-engine control systems for the F-302 through a government contract. A Colson biotech research company was given a copy of Asgard DNA by the Department of Defense, for sequencing.
Brian Vogler and Alec Colson have been friends since childhood.
A clandestine group of private businessmen was informed of the Stargate Program over six years ago by rogue elements of the NID. They are very highly connected, and Kinsey has been linked to them. They’ve been funding various secret endeavors aimed at contolling alien technology for their own purposes.
The Trust appears to refer to the combination of the remnants of the Rogue NID and the businessmen of the Committee. They think that Washington abdicated its duty to protect the planet and they see it as their responsibility to step in.
Kinsey is specifically referred to as "former vice-president."

The NID has been clean for over a year, but there are still dozens of ex-agents who are unaccounted for, and they continue to receive financing from unknown sources.
The Asgard had installed Asgard beam technology as well as a hyperdrive in the Prometheus. The Prometheus has Asgard beam technology, but not Asgard sensors, which means it isn’t possible to pinpoint specific targets unless they’ve been tagged in advance by a locator beacon.
Osiris’s wrist device remotely activated the Asgard transport beam. It is not only keyed to the presence of naquadah in the blood of the user, but also to specific Goa’uld DNA. Bricksdale activated it using an adapter with samples of both.
Osiris’s ship really belonged to Anubis, and he had all the command codes for the ship translated into Ancient. The Ancient symbols, which the Trust forced Daniel to translate into Goa’uld in order to save Krista, was the set of command codes which gave the Trust full control of Osiris’s al’kesh.
Ever since the Tok’ra left the Alpha Site, Earth hasn’t had much intelligence on their movements, and has no idea where their new base is, although the locations of some of their operatives are still known.
The new formula of the symbiote poison, developed in conjunction with the Tok’ra, is more stable than the original and easier to produce, but just as deadly to the Goa’uld and the Jaffa, and is to be used only in defensive situations. It can be spread in aerosol form over large areas, making it ideal for the Trust to launch a full-scale chemical attack by rocket through the gate.
Rebel Jaffa leaders met and were wiped out by the symbiote poison on P4S-161.
Zarin was a Tok’ra operative working undercover commanding one of Ba’al’s garrisons on P3S-114.
The Trust launched the symbiote poison and wiped out all Goa’uld and Jaffa on P4S-161, P3S-114, and at least three other worlds. Millions are dead.
The Trust now has a fully functional Goa’uld al’kesh and enough symbiote poison remaining to wipe out at least half a dozen more Goa’uld worlds.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The disruptor is a weapon capable of severing the kiron pathways that link individual Replicator cells, causing Replicators to disintegrate. The effect is instantaneous and painless.
The Asgard have developed a system of disruptor satellites that can deploy the beam in space and therefore can stop a ship or prevent a large-scale attack.
The disruptor satellite was deployed by the F-302 in a geosynchronous orbit above the Alpha Site base at an altitude of 33,785 kilometers, 0 inclination.
Replicator Carter isolated a cipher and introduced it into the kiron pathways that control the molecular cohesion of Replicators in order to make herself immune to the disruptor.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The war between Ba’al and the System Lords has reached a critical stage. According to Tok’ra intelligence, Bastet and Olokun are dead, Morrigan has capitulated, and Lord Yu and Amaterasu are rallying their armies for what will probably be their last stand. In the face of imminent defeat, some of the System Lords are actively seeking out areas of refuge, and planets they abandoned long ago are now being scouted as possible sanctuaries.
Two years ago, the Tok’ra dropped Maybourne off on a simple planet that used to fall under the domain of Ares until the naquadah mines were depleted. Now Ares is returning to reclaim his abandoned world.
The Ancient spacecraft and time device are the first evidence that the Ancients mastered time travel. The script on the temple pillars is a historical log compiled by an Ancient who traveled through time to study the evolution of life on the planet. The writings are a couple hundred years old, indicating that he traveled to the future, then back to a time a few hundred years earlier and left the written record.
Maybourne has picked up a decent understanding of Ancient writing. By interpreting the writings, he became known as King Arkhan the First, a prophet and seer. Maybourne had also brought to the world the design for the new water mill, new medicines, a legal code, and an irrigation system.
The people have a complicated lunar calendar. They are now in the 54th cycle, and the prophecy states, “Commencing the third moon of the 54th cycle, the oppressors of old will return to seek dominion over the land. Those of a distant world will come to vanquish the evil and restore order once again.”
O’Neill is able to operate Ancient technology because he possesses the Ancient gene. He is able to fly the Ancient spacecraft (known as a puddle jumper in Atlantis).

Vice President Kinsey was forced to resign in disgrace.
According to Tok’ra intelligence, the Trust launched at least two poison attacks against Goa’uld-occupied worlds after the SGC took back the gate. To do so, they had to leave the relatively safe confines of the solar system and head out into the galaxy where they ran the risk of being killed or captured.
General Miroslav Kiselev, the Russian Defense Minister, exercises operational authority over all of Russia’s armed forces, including their nuclear arsenal. He graduated with a Gold Medal from Malinovskiy Tank Academy, received the Hero of Russia for his distinguished leadership in Chechnya, commanded the Carpathian Military District Iron Division, then the 14th Army in the Transcaucasus Military District, and was head of the General Staff Academy for five years before being appointed to his present position. He also suffered from glaucoma and had extremely poor vision until the condition was corrected by a symbiote.
Colonel Ruslan Chernovshev was General Kiselev’s chief of staff. Three years ago, he was involved in a plot to sell a captured symbiote to elements of the Trust then operating within the NID.

Well, we’re under new management. [O’Neill]

Both O’Neill and Joe Spencer share the Ancient gene - and an appreciation for the subtlety of Simpsons analogies.
The stones are apparently a kind of Ancient long-range communication device allowing people to see events over great distances through a psychic connection.
The first stone, discovered at a garage sale seven years earlier, had been found by the owner’s grandfather on a dig in Egypt. The second stone was found among the artifacts on P3R-233 and brought back to Earth.
O’Neill activated the link between the stones by picking up the second stone from P3R-233 that was being stored in the base archives at the SGC. Afterwards, all that would be required is a certain proximity to the stone for the connection to be activated.
Wormhole X-treme! was canceled after one episode due to bad ratings.
O’Neill’s secret ingredient for his world-famous omelet is beer. But if you know that, he’ll have to shoot you.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
There’s a secret ingredient. I can’t tell you what it is, or I’d have to shoot you. [O’Neill]
It’s beer, isn’t it? [Carter]

You have a thing for the Simpsons, fishing, Mary Steenburgen, the color peridot, and you’re a terrible ping pong player. [Joe]
Well, first of all, Joe, I’m not a terrible ping pong player. [O’Neill]
Between you and me, I totally see the analogy. Burns as Goa’uld... [Joe]
Thank you! [O’Neill]

Planet: Dakara Planet Description: Barren, monument ruin of the Ancients Inhabitants: Traditional holy site of the Jaffa Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Because of the Replicator attack on the Goa’uld, the ranks of the Jaffa rebellion are re-pledging their loyalty to the Goa’uld in the thousands. They believe the Replicators are a plague, an evil punishment brought upon all for daring to stray in their beliefs and betray their gods.
Dakara is deep within Ba’al’s territory. The temple at Dakara is sacred to all Jaffa. Legend tells it is the place where Anubis rose from the dead. It is also the site of the first prim’ta ritual, the rite of passage that has bonded the Jaffa in servitude ever since. For thousands of years, the Jaffa have viewed Dakara as the holiest of sites, the very cradle of their existence. It is the place where the Goa’uld first gave the Jaffa their strength and longevity. Seizing control of the temple would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Goa’uld do not possess the power of the gods.
The monument on Dakara holds a weapon that was built by the Ancients. It is the one weapon in the galaxy capable of destroying the Replicators, and will destroy all life in the galaxy as well. Only Anubis could survive such pervasive devastation.
Tolok wears the tattoo of Heru’ur. Aron wears the tattoo of Moloc.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Teal’c, the odds are not in our favor. [Daniel]
They never are, Daniel Jackson. [Teal’c]
Hi? Hello, how are you, long time no see, what’s doing, what’s up, hey buddy...? [O’Neill]
You said we had a "problem," not a big galactic emergency. [O’Neill]
My relationship with the Council is still a little strained. [Jacob]
It’s not going to get any better if you keep stealing stuff. No complaints! I’ll take anything I can get - weapons, receivers... silverware. [O’Neill]
And don’t be afraid to remind him that we’ve saved his cute little gray bum several times. [O’Neill]
There’s been a little chit, and chat, around the water cooler. [O’Neill]
You know that bitter taste in your throat, that’s kind of wrapped around your uvula? That’s what’s left of your pride. [O’Neill]
I’ve got a better idea. Instead of helping you, why don’t we sit back and watch you get your ass kicked? That way you’ll be dead, and we’ll be glad. [O’Neill]
You cannot be serious. [Ba’al]
Yes I can. I just choose not to. Some of the time. [O’Neill]
With your insolence, you are dooming not just your world, but all of humanity. [Ba’al]
I think big. [O’Neill]
I am so sorry. I was just finishing up a lovely brunch. [O’Neill]

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The weapon at Dakara is of Ancient design and is capable of destroying all life in the galaxy. It uses an energy wave to reduce all matter to its basic molecular elements, in much the same way as the disruptor technology works on the Replicators, by separating the individual components. Once the frequency spectrum of the weapon matched the output of the disruptor to within a margin of .76%, the device became effective only against the Replicators.
The Ancient writings translated to “Midday the darkness is high in the sky. The wind blows on the pillow. Three days to the chicken” until the circles were rotated in the proper sequence.
Both Carter and Jacob have an ability to translate Ancient writings using Daniel’s notes for reference.
Daniel had begun to access the knowledge of the Ancients locked in his subconscious.
At the battle of Dakara, the entire force of the Rebel Jaffa amounted to five ha’tak, eight alkesh, and ten squadrons of gliders.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
You know, you blow up one sun, and suddenly everyone expects you to walk on water... Next up, parting the Red Sea. [Carter]
General O’Neill built it using Ancient knowledge and an Asgard computer. [Carter]

Already in it, Sir. [Siler]
Okay, that’s... weird. [O’Neill]

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The device on Dakara was originally used by the Ancients to recreate life in the Milky Way galaxy after the plague that wiped out the Ancients.
The diner was drawn from Daniel’s memories of the place his grandfather brought him after his parents’ funeral, where he had waffles.
The patrons in the diner are Others, but not necessarily all Ancients. They are always watching Oma.
There are many planes of existence between human existence and ascension. Ascension requires one to be pure of spirit, and good to the very core to achieve enlightenment.
The highest rule of the Others is that no lone ascended being shall help a “lower,” or human, to ascend. If one deserves ascension, one should be able to do it on one’s own. If there is an exception, for whatever reason, a majority vote by the Collective can help you reach ascension.
Anubis must have found some old Ancient research on ascension. When he came to Kheb, he tricked Oma, and she helped him to ascend. When she realized her horrible mistake, she tried to undo it, but couldn’t. Then the Others intervened, but sent him only halfway back. Anubis may not use any knowledge or power unless he otherwise would have gained it as a Goa’uld, and the Others use their collective powers to keep him from affecting anything on a grand cosmic level. It is Oma’s punishment to be forced to watch the consequences of her actions, powerless to interfere.
Oma had stopped Daniel from killing Anubis on Abydos because if she hadn’t, the Others would have. Daniel was not able to follow the rules when he was ascended, and chose to be returned to human form.

A dying symbiote releases toxins that kill the host. The Tok’ra can remove a Goa’uld symbiote by instantly killing the symbiote before it releases the toxins. Selmak slipped into a coma just after they activated the weapon on Dakara to defeat the Replicators.
Tolok bestows upon Teal’c and Bra’tac the title of Bloodkin to all Jaffa, the highest honor a Jaffa can know. Both are asked to sit on the High Council of the new Jaffa nation that will be erected on the holy ground of Dakara.
Kerry Johnson, from the CIA, is heading up the investigation into Goa’uld still at large after the incident with the Trust.
In addition to O’Neill’s omelet recipe, his barbeque technique also calls for beer.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Daedalus is a ship of similar design to the Prometheus but with several advantages since the more advanced alien technologies were integrated into the original design rather than tacked on after the fact. Once the Asgard hyperdrive is installed, it is intended to be used for the next mission to Atlantis in the Pegasus galaxy.
Catherine Langford left Daniel an original 1889 edition of the “Eye of the Sun,” the only one in known existence, which includes a reproduction of a wall painting discovered by German archaeologists in 1885 that was destroyed in a museum fire ten years later. The painting shows a figure holding a ZPM which was referred to as “the heart of light” and considered to be a religious icon by the ancient Egyptians.
The Ancient gene is required to operate both the Ancient spacecraft and the time travel device. The time travel device only works in time jumps longer than a couple hundred years, and is able to extrapolate a concept of time from the mind of the user controlling it.
Travelling back in time 5000 years, SG-1 finds pyramids in 3000 BC, proving that the Sphinx and great pyramids predate the fourth dynasty.
SG-1 hides the ZPM and the video camera and recording in a tomb of the first dynasty near Giza that will be uncovered by a team of archaeologists from the University of Chicago in a dig about a month before their mission began.
O’Neill would welcome an opportunity to travel back in time to 1908 to see the Cubs win the World Series.
There are no fish in O'Neill's pond.
Goa’uld language: "Tana-akal maltar. Jaya-nok-shol!" means "I will not tolerate such disrespect from my followers."
Research into the area of quantum gravity suggests that time flows like rotating fluid within our galaxy, technically allowing a traveler to journey backward and forward at will, however a huge amount of energy is required.
When SG-1 changes history, the timeline is altered:
In 2995 BC, the ancient Egyptians rebelled aginst Ra, and he left in a great flying ship but took the stargate with him.
Dr. Langford had excavated the area where the stargate should have been in Giza in 1934 but found only the tablet inscribed in hieroglyphics and left behind by Daniel.
Dr. Daniel Jackson has a PhD in Egyptology and archaeology and is teaching English as a second language to immigrants.
Dr. Samantha Carter has a PhD in astrophysics and works at the Department of Aerospace Research Headquarters in Washington, DC, proofreading other people’s reports for errors and omissions.
O’Neill retired from the Air Force as a colonel and owns a boat named Homer which he charters for tours, fishing, and parties.
George Hammond is a brigadier general in command of the USAF Research Institute at the underground Air Force facility at Cheyenne Mountain.
Dr. Rodney McKay works at the USAF Research Institute, and is not allergic to lemon chicken.
Robert Kinsey is the US president and Henry Hayes is the Secretary of the Interior.

Yeah, I suppose it does sound a little crazy. [Alternate Daniel]

NOTES OF INTEREST:
In the alternate timeline, O’Neill and Kawalsky had served together in Peru, Sierra Leone, and Uganda.
The mission to Chulak included O’Neill, Kawalsky, Daniel, Carter, Bosworth, Mansfield, and Donner.
The SG-1 team had first arrived in Egypt in 3000 BC. They remained and planned the rebellion to overthrow Ra, but were captured, and all but Daniel were killed.
Five years later, in 2995 BC, Daniel and Katep carried out another uprising which was successful, and Ra left Earth but took the stargate with him. History was changed. Daniel wrote the tablet to be found in the future, explaining the location of the second gate.
The alternate team used the second gate and arrived in Egypt in 2995 BC just before the rebellion. By stealing and hiding the gate, the rebellion was successful, Ra left Earth, and the gate was buried. History was unchanged. Or close enough.
