It took more than a week to set up the beta gate at the SGC, due to technical difficulties. O'Neill, Carter, and Teal'c remained offworld on P4X-234 [sic] during that time until a connection could be established.
Thor's home planet is one of many Asgard planets still threatened by the plague of Replicators across their galaxy. There is no indication if Thor's home planet is the same as Othala, visited by O'Neill in The Fifth Race.
The "O'Neill", with a hull made of an alloy of naquadah, trinium and carbon, is the first ship designed solely to fight the Replicators. The most advanced technological creation of the Asgard, it is their last great hope.
The surviving Replicator attacked a Russian foxtrot submarine, code name Blackbird, and killed all on board. The sub was spotted by the Nimitz and the Navy towed it into harbor, using a chemical spill as a cover story.
Baker and Stevens joined O'Neill and Teal'c on the mission into the submarine. Stevens was killed by the Replicators.
The Replicators are a kiron-based technology. A kiron is an energy particle unknown to Earth technology. The Replicators on Earth are a different color because they take on the characteristics of the metals and alloys that they consume. Being made of steel, they are more vulnerable. The original Replicator, incorporated into the "Mother" bug, was more resilient.
Replicators consume energy from their ships to replicate. The subspace field necessary for hyperspace requires full generator power, thus cutting off the energy for replication, shields, and weapons during hyperspace travel.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Eurondans claim they are kindred of Earth. They discovered the Stargate when digging the underground facility and interpreted the writings indicating Earth ancestry.
The Eurondans co-existed for centuries with "The Enemy", which now controls most of the land mass of the planet. They refer to the enemy as "Breeders", who reproduce with no regard for genetic purity. Civil war began when the Eurondans built the underground facility and used gas pipes from underground tanks to poison the planet's surface to exterminate the Breeders. Alar's father was among the leadership responsible for beginning the war.
The trade agreement provided for Eurondan technology, including nuclear fusion reactors, defense field generators, aero-fighter weapons system, statis devices, and medicine, in exchange for deuterium oxide fuel from heavy water to power the controlled fusion generators.
Beta-Cantin is a powerful Eurondan drug that assures an immediate recovery.

Anise is a Tok'ra archaeologist whose area of expertise is ancient cultures. The name "Anise" means "noble strength." Her host is named Freya.
The armbands were discovered among the ruins on a remote planet. The inscribed language belongs to a race called Ataniks, whose existence and demise predates the Goa'uld. The armbands were thought to be a myth, but both the Tok'ra and Goa'uld have been searching for them. The armbands are rejected by Tok'ra physiology, probably due to the symbiote.
The Atanik armbands give the wearer incredible speed and strength, and greatly increase all natural abilities.
The armband releases a virus into the system to access the human physiology. The virus causes increased hormone levels, producing a narcotic-like effect, affecting judgement. The virus also increases metabolism to match the energy the body now requires, resulting in an increased appetite, and causes a fever which can lead to multiple organ failure. When the body develops antibodies to the virus, the immunity makes the armband useless, and it comes off on its own.
The Atanik inscription on the armbands says, "With great power comes great responsibility, and the ability to affect great consequences."
Apophis is building a new class of battleship that could assure his dominence over the Goa'uld and the galaxy. SG-1 destroyed the ship by sabotaging the cooling system. The planet designation PX9-757 is later identified in Divide and Conquer.

Shan'auc of the Red Hills had known Teal'c since before she became a priestess of the temple in worship of the Goa'uld. Now believing that the Goa'uld are false gods, she was sent to Earth by Bra'tac.
A Jaffa's symbiote acts as an internal organ as a function of the body's immune system. There is an exchange of hormones and electrical impulses on a completely unconscious level.
In the deepest state of kelno'reem, the heart beats so slowly it may stop. The practice is forbidden. In this state, some communication with the symbiote, in the form of primitive images, can be achieved. The symbiote is only fully capable of communication once it takes a host, which is its primal instinctual behavior.
The Great Queen Egeria, Roman goddess of fountains and of childbirth, was an advisor to Numa Pompilius, a legendary ruler. She broke from the Goa'uld over 2000 years ago and came to Earth to stop the Goa'uld from taking humans as slaves. She founded the Tok'ra movement through her offspring before being killed by Ra. Tok'ra numbers have diminished over the years because of a lack of hosts. There are no Jaffa within the Tok'ra ranks.
Both the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra are parasitical beings who pass on knowledge through genetic memory. The majority of the Tok'ra left the gene pool over 2000 year ago, thus the knowledge of the Goa'uld is still very valuable.
Teal'c's father, Ronac, was killed by Cronus in a slow and painful death in which his symbiote was crushed in such a way to allow its blood to mix with his own.

A Zatarc is a victim of Goa'uld mind-control technology. A mission is programmed into the victim's subconscious and covered with a false memory. The programming requires only moments of access, and the victim is unaware of the programming. When triggered by a visual or auditory signal, the programming takes over, ending in suicide. It is a fairly recent technology, with three incidents in the last two months involving Tok'ra.
Zatarc programming can only be detected with a Tok'ra technology which uses a modified Tok'ra memory recall device and is similar to a lie detector. It reads the subconscious and compares it to the conscious memory. Originally created to verify information retrieved from the torture of captured Goa'uld, the Zatarc detector is an unproven technology, and can misread omissions as false memories. An experimental and unproven procedure using the same device can counteract the Zatarc programming by damaging the portion of the brain affected by the Zatarc technology.
During a joint mission involving SG-14 and SG-15 to the Lasarians on P6Y-325, the SG teams were attacked by Jaffa and six team members were killed. Planet: P4X-639 Planet Description: Rocky terrain, cycles of high solar radiation Inhabitants: Deserted former colony of the Ancients Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
SG-15 had visited P4X-639 two weeks earlier and brought back reports of increasing solar activity.
A coronal mass emission, like a giant solar flare, disrupts the planet's magnetic field and increases surface radiation. The alien device draws its energy from the ionization in the atmosphere caused by the geomagnetic storms with recur every 50 years. The beam from the device can access the gate's subspace field in order to create some kind of time inversion outside of subspace. It establishes a simultaneous connection from P4X-639 to 13 other worlds including Earth and Alaris, creating a subspace bubble in which everything is cut off from the normal flow of time, resulting in a continuous loop repeating every 6 to 10 hours.
The writings on the walls and the altar are a variation of the writings of the Ancients, similar to Latin. The equivalent of 400 pages of text includes a planetary history and description of the alien device. The translation revealed that P4X-639 was once a colony of the Ancients. It thrived for thousands of years until it was struck with some unspecified cataclysm. The inhabitants built a time machine to go back and change their own history to avoid their fate, but it didn't work. Instead it caused a short term continuous loop. In the end, they gave up, shut it down, and let the end come.
Malikai, an archaeologist, had been making visits to the planet for some time, researching the alien device. His wife had died 12 years ago of a congenital heart weakness, and his hope was to go back in time to be with her.
SG-12's unscheduled early return from Alaris was due to a broken ankle.
The golfing record was set to the planet Alaris.

WATERGATE
Planet: "Water Planet" Planet Description: Ruins of a civilization, completely submerged Inhabitants: Living organisms in the water Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The original mission was to transplant the Enkarans to a new home world.
An energy spike and corresponding seismic tremor indicate the activation of a second gate.
The Russians recovered the alpha gate from the bottom of the ocean two months ago, after the crash of Thor's ship, and before their Foxtrot sub was lost. The DHD from Giza was confiscated from the Germans after World War II. They were set up in a decommissioned experimental power station on the Siberian Plateau, at 97 degrees E longitude, 72 degrees N latitude, near the Kuybyshev Airbase.
Dr. Svetlana Markov, chief science officer and second in command to Colonel Sokalov, helped establish the Russian program against the wishes of powerful people in the government who wanted to expose the US program to force the sharing of technology. The program was in operation for 37 days and had explored 7 planets when the malfunction would not allow the gate to close.
The Russians have access to extensive files on the SGC. Colonel Maybourne has been in contact with the Russian Stargate program.
The combination of the strong signal from the drone aimed at the event horizon, and the energy emitted by the water, maintained the connection and wouldn't let the gate shut down.
Explanations of wormhole physics:
A stargate cannot activate when buried, but it can engage under water.
The wormhole only allows matter to travel one way, but radio signals can be transmitted both ways.
A wormhole can remain active for a maximum of 38 minutes unless it is able to draw energy from an alternate source.
The gate has the ability to use density, molecular structure, and the force being exerted on the event horizon to determine whether something is trying to pass through.
The alpha gate supercedes the beta gate as long as the DHD is connected. If it is connected only when in use, it will prevent crossover to the beta gate.
The water sample had unbelievable properties, spontaneously emitting energy in the form of heat. The heat was due to countless microscopic intelligent life forms in the water that are capable of entering and controlling a human body, and leaving it again.
The Extreme Measures Protocol releases Substance 35, a non-persistent nerve gas, into the facility.
Forty seven people at the Russian base were killed and 7 SG teams were trapped offworld by the gate malfunction.

NOTES OF INTEREST:
Daniel joined SG-11 for an archaeological survey of P3X-888. He theorized that this was the planet from which the primordial Goauld originated, that they were predators rather than parasites, and that they evolved for millions of years in the prehistoric oceans before taking on hosts. Those who took on hosts learned to use the stargate and left the planet. The aboriginal Unas who stayed behind took refuge in the caves for protection against blending.
No traces of naquadah were found in the Goa'uld fossils, suggesting that it became part of their makeup later in their evolution.
Members of SG-11 archaeological team: Major Hawkins (taken by a Goa'uld and killed), Loder (killed by the Unas), Sanchez (killed), Robert Rothman (taken by a Goa'uld and killed). Members of SG-2 joining SG-1 for search and rescue: Major Coburn, Captain Griff, Pierce.
The Unas have green blood. The blood of the Goa'uld is blue.
Symbiotes can't blend with a Jaffa.

There is no stargate on the Enkaran home world. The Goa'uld kidnapped the Enkaran ancestors by ship to a new world. When faced with disaster on this world, they were transported by the SGC to build hundreds of villages on P5S-381. The Enkarans require a dense ozone layer to protect against radiation since even low levels of radiation can cause blindness and death.
The Gadmeer, whose physiology is based on sulfur, were an advanced and peaceful race who fell victim to a superior military power. They placed their legacy, all their knowledge from 10,000 years of civilization, into the ship, looking for a new home world to colonize.
The alien ship terraforms the planet by destroying all native organisms and replacing them with microbes which bond with the sulfur leached out of the soil and release sulfur dioxide as they decay, thus creating an environment to support an organic system based on sulfur rather than carbon. The ship is 2 miles in diameter and the curtain of energy stretches over 20 miles. Once the terraforming process has begun, it must be completed.
Lotan is a bio-mechanical representation of the Enkarans, assembled to facilitate communication between the Gadmeer ship and the Enkarans.
SG-5, 6, and 9 are looking for suitable alternative home worlds.

The X-301 Intercept is a hybrid craft made with American design and two Goa'uld death gliders recovered two years ago. It was intended as a platform from which to launch an attack against a Goa'uld ship. The power source doesn't exert force against gravity so much as take inertia out of the equation, making even pilots immune to G-forces. It is equipped with stealth technology and two AIM-120A air-to-air missles that could destroy a Goa'uld mothership if armed with a naquada-enhanced warhead and modified with a shield-frequency modulator.
The gliders contained a recall device designed to return them to Apophis' home world, sending the ship into space at a million miles per hour on a trajectory out of the solar system toward the Oort Cloud.

Dr. David Jordan had been Daniel's archaeology professor. Daniel, Steven and Sarah had been his assistants and associates. Sarah had had a relationship with Daniel before he disappeared from the academic world five years ago with the mission to Abydos.
The artifacts had been discovered by the Stewart Expedition in a temple near Cairo in 1931. Every member of the expedition died within a year, attributed to the "Curse of Osiris." The ship carrying the artifacts sank off the coast of New Jersey six months later. The wreck was recovered a few months ago and the artifacts are currently on loan from the Egyptian government to the museum in Chicago.
The artifacts included two canopic jars made of ceramic with a technologically advanced inner chamber holding a liquid with sedative properties, and using a tiny naquadah power source emitting a low-level electrical charge to maintain temperature and to keep a symbiote alive in stasis indefinitely as long as the seal is unbroken.
The artifact inscriptions included "Woe to all who disturb this, my final resting place." The gold amulet represented Osiris carrying a crook and flail, scepters of kingship, and an ankh, symbol of immortality. It was carbon dated at 10,000 years old. The Isis jar (item #14B) had been damaged, the seal was broken, and the symbiote inside dead. The Osiris jar was supposedly destroyed in the lab explosion. The inscription in Goa'uld symbols on the Isis jar read "Hakorr kra terak shree" meaning "Banished to oblivion."
Isis was the Egyptian mother-goddess and consort of Osiris. Osiris was supposedly the first pharoah of Egypt. According to legend, he was placed in a magic box and dumped in the Nile by his brother Seth.

Apophis commands the army of Sokar. Heru'ur is alligned with the System Lords against Apophis. Apophis and Heru'ur control the two largest armies of the Goa'uld. An alliance between them could topple all other System Lords. A war between them could decimate both sides and return the balance of power to the System Lords.
Apophis and Heru'ur agreed to meet within the mine field of the Tobin System to discuss a possible alliance. Their transmission was intercepted by the Tok'ra through Tanith.
The Tobin civilization, originating from Earth thousands of years ago, has been extinct for several centuries. They left behind a large orbiting minefield in space, designed to protect the planet. The mines can be programmed to hone in on a variety of energy signatures.
The symbols on the mines are similar to Phoenician letters, and translate as "Three to the blue, four to the orange, three to the blue." Allowing for the use of a zero, this becomes "Two to the blue, three to the orange, two to the blue."
Rak'nor is the son of Delnor who was spared by Teal'c when he was First Prime. Delnor followed Bra'tac's rebellion, but when his whole family was killed by Apophis, Rak'nor remained loyal to Apophis.
Teal'c is told that Bra'tac died under torture.
Rak'nor used the Tok'ra password: Goach, sha kree, lo Goa'uld.
With the death of Heru'ur, Apophis has now absorbed the forces of both Sokar and Heru'ur, and commands the largest of the Goa'uld armies.

When the SGC shut down off-world operation of the second stargate, it cut off the NID's access to alien technology. Maybourne was sent to work for the Russians, and the Pentagon forced the Russians to close their stargate in exchange for continued sharing of information and technology. The US has the only operational gate.
Two weeks earlier, representatives of the NID suggested that Hammond take a more aggressive approach to gaining access to off-world technology, and threatened consequences. The next day, two men in plain clothes and an unmarked car picked up his granddaughters from school before bringing them home. Hammond resigned.
The NID is made up of cells that communicate with each other by accessing bulletin boards online using firewall protected servers, decoding software, and passwords.
General Bauer reassigned SG-1. Carter was assigned to develop a naquadah-enhanced nuclear weapon. Daniel was given a desk job as a consultant, going off-world only as required. Teal'c was assigned to SG-3. O'Neill was given leave.
P3S-452 is a Goa'uld stronghold rich in naquadah. A strike force mission to the planet obtained naquadah to be used in the bomb, but was met with heavy resistance. Lieutenant Morrison was wounded, and Major Wade killed.
A stargate can survive a direct hit from a meteorite or nuclear blast. An energy source at the destination can keep a gate active beyond 38 minutes, and radiation, gravitational effects, and time distortion can translate back through an outgoing wormhole. The naquadah bomb was magnified by naquadah in the soil of the test site planet, and it sent ultra high frequency gamma rays back through the gate.
Maybourne was convicted of treason and is facing the death penalty, prisoner number S2989.
O'Neill and the President "go way back." His connection granted Maybourne's release for a few days in exchange for his help in obtaining proof of influential people's involvement with the NID.
Senator Kinsey's online activities connect him to NID actions over the last year and a half, including Maybourne's secret operation out of Area 51, involvement with the Russians, and the threats to Hammond.
Maybourne emailed himself a copy of the incriminating evidence, and used it to pressure Kinsey into transferring him to another facility, from which he could escape to the Caribbean.
Charles Bliss is one of a hundred names that Maybourne uses. On the "Findorama.net" bulletin board, he logged in with the username "Menard" (also the SG-1 Director of Photography).
Zoe makes her screen debut as "Oscar."

How dare you come into my house waving a gun? [Kinsey]
Not waving. Pointing. Sit down. [O'Neill]

2010
Planet: Earth in the year 2010 Planet Description: Advanced through Aschen technology Inhabitants: Humans and Aschen Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The newspaper is dated July 2010. It is the tenth anniversary of the day that SG-1 first visited P4C-970 and met the Aschen. Since that time, Earth became a member of the Aschen Confederation.
Changes in the Earth of the future:
The Goa'uld have been defeated.
Kinsey is President of the United States.
Hammond died six years earlier of a heart attack, under suspicious circumstances.
Jack retired and moved to his Minnesota cabin in bitterness when his warnings about the Aschen were ignored.
Sam married Joe, an ambassador, at least three years before.
There is no longer a military. O'Neill and Carter were both colonels at the time of their retirement.
The Stargate is housed at the J.R. Reed Space Terminal in Washington DC, where it is open to the public and used routinely for space travel.
The SGC facility at Cheyenne Mountain is now a tourist attraction.
Walter Davis (former technician) works at the SGC facility as Operations Tech Advisor.
Major advancements in Aschen medicine include an anti-aging vaccine, and an anti-cancer vaccine.
The worldwide birth rate dropped 91% in two years, attributed to the anti-aging vaccine.
The Jupiter Ignition Project is designed to collapse Jupiter to convert it into a star.
Aschen computers are capable of predicting solar flares which create time distortions in wormhole travel, thus allowing time travel.
The note said, "Under no circumstances go to P4C-970. (signed) Colonel Jack O'Neill."
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Oh, that. Not working out, is it? Gosh, I wish I'd seen that coming. Oh wait, I did see that coming. [O'Neill]
Personally, I like things the way they are. No more saving the world, just a nice pond with no pesky fish in it, and the single most pressing issue in my life is whether or not to get a dog. [O'Neill]
And we're walking... [O'Neill, imitating the tour guide]
So, when did you decide against getting a dog? [Carter]
I'm still thinking about it. [O'Neill]
Can we at least mention who won the Super Bowl in 2004? World Series? Grey Cup? [O'Neill]
Um, the sun's beeping. [Daniel]

The name Shifu means "light". Shifu is the Harsesis, born with all the knowledge of Apophis and Amaunet. Nanite technology caused initial aging to be accelerated, but it is currently inactive. Oma Desala taught him to forget the Goa'uld knowledge he was born with. He came to Abydos to learn more about his mother, Sha're.
The treaty with the Tok'ra includes the full exchange of all potential sources of information pertaining to the Goa'uld.
The Russian Stargate remains closed by agreement that the US will share all information gathered by the SGC.
In Daniel's dream he determines that the ribbon device requires naquadah in the blood of the user in order to activate it.
The AG-3 is the satellite of alien design from Daniel's dream. Designed as a defense system to be deployed in a network orbiting Earth, they were capable of detecting approaching Goa'uld ships thousands of light years away, and the weapons systems could penetrate shield technology and destroy motherships.

THE LIGHT
Planet: P4X-347 Planet Description: Deserted Goa'uld pleasure palace, beach Inhabitants: Loran has been alone since the death of his parents Emulated Culture: Egyptian Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Goa'uld palace contained a pedestal which projects a light-matrix hologram onto the ceiling. It has probably been deserted for hundreds of years.
A hidden device emitted undetectible energy or radiation. The color and light of the hologram interacted with the optic nerve and triggered chemical responses in the brain. Accelerated neural activity causes dopamine-like effects. When exposure ends, neural activity decreases resulting in depression. Addiction is almost instantaneous, with intensity proportional to the length of exposure. Addiction can be reversed by reducing the exposure incrementally over 2-3 weeks. A Goa'uld symbiote can keep a host's mind chemically balanced after exposure.
SG-5 first visited the planet. Lieutenant Barber committed suicide by running into the Stargate vortex. The rest of SG-1 suffered the effects of withdrawal and died.
Loran's parents were explorers. They became addicted to the light, and when Loran turned off the device to free them, they went into withdrawal, ran into the ocean, and drowned. Loran returned to Earth with SG-1.
Although the Jaffa do not celebrate birthdays, Teal'c will be 102 years old in 47 days. [Note: 47 days from airdate gives a birthdate of April 11, 1899]

PRODIGY
Planet: M4C-862 Planet Description: Forested moon orbiting a gas giant Inhabitants: Energy beings Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
General Michael E. Ryan is the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, DC. A biography can be found on the Air Force website.
M4C-862 is a moon orbiting a gas giant, 42,000 light years from Earth. A team of scientists had been doing research there for six weeks. The goal was to establish a permanent research station.
Carter was lecturing in theoretical astrophysics at the Air Force Academy. General Kerrigan and Professor Monroe at the Air Force Academy both remember Carter as a student there.
Daniel was off-world with SG-11.
The energy-based lifeforms could pass through matter. An electrical field could contain or repel them. Carter theorized that their behavior was retaliatory due to the capture of one of their own. Hailey's theory was that the moon was a rogue pulled into a highly eccentric polar orbit, and that the more intense magnetic field during the polar phase of orbit affected behavior.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Shouldn't there have been a memo or something? [O'Neill]
Got your hands full with that one, eh, George? [General Ryan]
Colonel O'Neill is indeed qualified, Dr. Hamilton, having encountered many alien species, as have I, since long before you were born. I strongly suggest you do what Colonel O'Neill says. [Teal'c]

The coordinates for the planet were procured from the repository of the Ancients, however MALP transmissions revealed an entirely alien culture resembling no known culture of the Ancients or of Earth.
The Entity returned to Earth through an outgoing wormhole as wave energy riding on the MALP telemetry. It accessed the main computers and sustained itself through power from secondary systems, growing exponentially to consume additional memory. The EM spike overloaded the computers and all control systems were inoperative. SGC was under quarantine at DefCon 2.
Radio energy emitted from the MALP probe was a contagion to the Entity's planet. It returned to Earth in retaliation, to preserve its own world by destroying Earth.
The Entity responded to questions about its identity with, "I am within."
The MALP room is on Service Level S-24. The infirmary is on level 21.

EXODUS
Planet: Vorash Planet Description: Barren desert now destroyed by a supernova Inhabitants: Tok'ra evacuated, now uninhabited Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Hammond ordered that the Goa'uld mothership confiscated from Cronus be lent to the Tok'ra to move their Stargate to a new planet not currently on the Goa'uld map, in order to ensure the security of a more permanent Tok'ra base.
Tanith has been used by the Tok'ra to relay misinformation to Apophis. His sentence, declared by the Tok'ra High Council, is to be extracted from his host, Hebron, and left behind on Vorash when the Tok'ra evacuate.
The plan to blow up the sun in order to destroy Apophis' fleet is to dial P3W-451, the Stargate being drawn into a black hole, allowing the gravity of the black hole to remove enough stellar matter through the Stargate to disrupt the balance between the forces of fusion and gravity in Vorash's sun, thus creating an artificial supernova.
An al-kesh is a Goa'uld mid-range bomber with cloaking capabilities.
The force of the supernova threw both motherships off course during hyperdrive, sending them over four million light years away, outside of our own galaxy. At maximum hyperdrive speed it would take 125 years to return home.
