NOTES OF INTEREST:
Hammond has requested three new SG teams (making a total of 15).
Major Davis is acting liason with the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Tok'ra operatives on P3X-254 reported the capture of SG-1 by Hathor. The rescue mission consists of SG units 3, 5, 6 and 11 under the command of Colonel Makepeace.
The cryogenic process prevents the melding of the symbiote with the host, and kills the Goa'uld.
The last of Apophis' personal guard on Chulak remain loyal and await the return of Klorel to claim his inheritance.
Bra'tac had been First Prime of Apophis some 100 years ago. His special death glider has been hidden since then.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:

SETH
Planet: Earth Planet Description: Seth's compound near Seattle Inhabitants: Emulated Culture: Egyptian religious cult Episode Guide |

NOTES OF INTEREST:
Carter's brother Mark in San Diego had been estranged from his father for a long time, and she hadn't seen him since his two children were born.
There are only dozens of Goa'uld at the rank of System Lords, thousands of Goa'ulds in general.
Seth, also known as Setekh, Set, Seti, Setesh, is the ancient Egyptian god of chaos, the embodiment of hostility and outright evil. He tried to overthrow Ra, and both the System Lords and Tok'ra want him dead. The record of Seth on Earth ended when the Earth gate was buried in Egypt, and he has been hiding out here. He could remain alive with a sarcophagus, or if he changed hosts approximately every 400 years.
Setesh was represented by an animal that is either fictitious or extinct. For this reason, the helmets of the Setesh guard continue to be the source of many jokes among the Jaffa.
There has been a cult of Setesh in some form since around 1000 BC. Set and his minions were supposedly killed in Egypt. A similar god called Typhon showed up in Greece, who killed 300 followers and then disappeared. In the early 1800's a new cult arose near Stonehenge in England, under a leader named Seth, until all his followers slit their own throats.
The ATF webpage shows a cult leader named Seth who has about 50 followers ready to die for him in a fortified compound outside Seattle. Vital information listed: Name: Seth Fargough, DOB: 1962(?), Height: 6'0", Weight: 190, Marital status: N/A, Criminal record: None.
Nish'ta: a biological compound that once inhaled infects all body tissue and makes the mind extremely pliable. It may have been used on Rya'c, and is similar to, but stronger than the organism used by Hathor. Its effects can be reversed by an electrical shock after it has infected all tissues (approximately 1 hour). Once reversed, the host becomes immune.
Carter has retained the ability to use the Goa'uld ribbon device.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:

A Serpent guard, a Horus guard, and a Setesh guard meet on a neutral planet. It is a tense moment. The Serpent guard's eyes glow. The Horus guard's beak glistens. The Setesh guard's nose drips. [Teal'c]
AK-47s, couple Uzis. Anyone think they observed the requisite 15-day waiting period for those weapons? [O'Neill]
Does the concept of "overkill" mean anything to anybody? [O'Neill]
You have a rather insubordinate subordinate, General. [Hamner]
He's not insubordinate to me. Only to people such as yourself. Saves me the trouble. [Jacob]
My first order of business. Get me one of those cool jackets, extra large. Double XL, if you've got it. [O'Neill]

Secretary of Defense Arthur Simms, visiting the SGC, acted as the President's representative.
Asgard ships have been able to avoid detection by Earth satellites and telescopes.
The System Lords view Earth as a threat, but fear the Asgards, who negotiate with the System Lords to include Earth in the Protected Planets Treaty.
The Goa'uld are feudal and will unite to defend against outside threats such as the Asgard or Reetou, but will battle among themselves for control of individual domains.
Cronus was among the earliest Greek Gods, one of 12 Titans who ascended to supreme domination. He was the god of fate, and became father to Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, and Hades. He is the most influential of the System Lords. He was the one to banish Sokar, and is a mortal enemy of Apophis.
Yu, or Yu the Great, may have been one of China's earliest emperors and did not assume the role of god per se. According to legend he possessed great mythic powers and sprang into the world from a dragon's body. He founded the first recorded dynasty, governing under harsh rule, but bringing advances and positive influences.
Nirrti was a destructive goddess of darkness in early Hindu reference. In an attempt to destroy Earth's stargate, she had wiped out the population of P8X-987 (Hanka, Cassandra's home planet in Singularity).
Teal'c's father was First Prime of Cronus when Teal'c was a child. After defeat in battle, he was killed by Cronus, and Teal'c and his mother were exiled and fled to Chulak. It was probably Cronus who sent the Ashrak to kill Jolinar.
The Asgard have an enemy in their home galaxy far worse than the Goa'uld, leaving limited resources to enforce the treaties with the Goa'uld.
In return for Earth's inclusion in the Protected Planets Treaty, Addendum 10815, the Asgard will allow Goa'uld access to the Passage of Nilor. Treaty Law Section 326 recognizes that humans exist for the purpose of serving the Goa'uld as hosts and slaves and requires that no human planet be allowed to advance technologically to a point where they may become a threat to the Goa'uld.
The System Lords additionally demanded the forfeiture of both Tauri stargates, but dropped the demand and supported the treaty in return for the capture of Nirrti.
Nirrti has been experimenting with phase shifting to fight the Reetou and has the technology to become invisible.
Carter has the ability to use the Goa'uld healing device.
During formal negotiations with the Goa'uld, Jack O'Neill wears a clip-on tie.

LEGACY
Planet: PY3-948 Planet Description: Goa'uld Linvris Chamber Inhabitants: Nine members of the Linvris, all dead Emulated Culture: Egyptian Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Linvris are a rival league of lesser Goa'uld who challenge the System Lords. There are nine of them, all found dead, killed a month earlier, on PY3-948.
The tablet and page turning device, similar to that on Argos, is in a Goa'uld dialect similar to Latin and refers to an attack plan, "In'trom Popra Cursor're" meaning "to enter by infiltration."
When a Goa'uld symbiote dies, it decays and is absorbed by the host leaving behind a unique protein marker. Carter has the protein from Jolinar, and O'Neill, Teal'c and Fraiser were injected with it.
Ma'chello's inventions are activated ten at a time by the page turning device (PTD). They infiltrate the host body, killing the symbiote, and die when they recognize the protein marker. In an uninfected human they cause symptoms of schizophrenia, including increased dopamine levels, migraines, paranoid delusions, and auditory and visual hallucinations.
Ma'chello's planet, previously P3W-924, is referred to as P3C-599.
All Ma'chello's devices have been moved to Area 51 for study.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Why didn't they come through my closet? Aside from the fact that yours is cleaner? [O'Neill]
Why don't we just put a little sign at the base of the ramp that says 'Gate travel may be hazardous to your health'? I can live with that. [O'Neill]
That's because it was just stress. And I have a very calming effect on stressed-out people. [O'Neill]
I'd like to apologize in advance for anything I may say or do that could be construed as offensive as I slowly go NUTS!! [O'Neill]
FOR THE RECORD:

Fraiser: infected by 3 of Ma'chello's inventions, injected with the protein marker
Carter: infected by 4 of Ma'chello's inventions but rejected by the protein marker
Teal'c: infected by Ma'chello's invention, attacking the symbiote, injected with the protein marker
Earth and Orban participate in an exchange in which Carter obtains the technology for a naquadah reactor, Daniel studies the archaeological origins of the planet, and Teal'c shares information about the Goa'uld.
Daniel found archaeological evidence, including a pyramid, mosaics, and a figure of Chalchiutlicue, the Aztec goddess of water, suggesting connections to Teotihuacan, a city in pre-Columbian South America, bigger than ancient Rome. It flourished for centuries as a religious and economic mecca before suffering a great upheaval in 750 AD, which may have been caused by the Goa'uld. The Orbanians may be descendants of this civilization which pre-dates the Aztecs. The Goa'uld were on Orban in the last few hundred years, but it is unknown why they left.
Merrin's blood contains traces of silicon, trinium, and an unknown element, abnormally high neuropeptide levels, as well as millions of nanites in her brain. The nanites were created by Orbanians 49 years ago as a means of acquiring knowledge. Children such as Merrin, Zaren, Solen, and Kalan's son Tomin, are selected to be Urrone and are given millions of nanites at birth, before neural pathways are established, enabling them to learn vast amounts of information very quickly. At age 12, Urrone children undergo the Averium ceremony in which the nanites are removed and each citizen receives a nanite by injection, allowing the knowledge to be passed on. Past-Urrone children cannot receive new nanites because the brain rejects them, so their previous knowledge is lost.
Cassandra is now in junior high school. O'Neill has kept in touch with her previous school.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:

POINT OF VIEW
Planet: Earth in an Alternate Reality Planet Description: Inhabitants: Emulated Culture: Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The quantum mirror from P3R-233 had been stored at Area 51 at Nellis. Hammond ordered it sent to the SGC, and wants to have it destroyed following this mission.
In the alternate version of Earth, the SGC is the SGA, Daniel is not with the program, Kawalsky is alive, Dr. Carter is a civilian and married for one year to O'Neill, O'Neill is dead, Teal'c is the First Prime of Apophis, and the Goa'uld have taken over every major city of Earth and made slaves of the population.
According to quantum theory, for every possible universe there are infinite variations diverging at every choice we make like forks in the road.
Temporal entropic cascade failure on the cellular level is a side effect of quantum mirror travel. The increased entropy generated by duplicate people existing in the same reality causes temporal distortion.
The remote controller for the quantum mirror does not dial up a specific reality. If it is left on, it will stay connected to the reality it was set to, but if disconnected you must randomly search to find the specific reality again.
The Carters were able to repair the Ancient/Asgard energy generator by using the ratio of the decay rate of naquadah relative to the energy output, which she was able to learn when studying the naquadah generator from Orban.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Is he talking about that alternate reality thing Daniel futzed with on 233? [O'Neill]
Oh my God, this is too weird. [Carter]
Yeah, how 'bout that hair? [O'Neill]
All right, um... just to clarify -- this Carter is from an alternate, alternate reality? [O'Neill]
Apparently. [Jackson]
Anybody else have a problem with that? [O'Neill]
Which reality is actually real? [Teal'c]
Thank you, Teal'c. [O'Neill]
So it's possible there's an alternate version of myself out there that actually understands what the hell you're talking about? [O'Neill]
For all we know, you could be her evil twin. But then, we'd be dealing with clichés, and you know how I feel about those. No, actually you know how I feel about those... [O'Neill]
Well, the combined IQ of Earth might go up a few points having two Carters around. [O'Neill]
Quite the military mind, Daniel Jackson. [O'Neill]
Carter, download the program to the removable whatever-it-is, and meet me and yourself in the lab. [O'Neill]
The idea was to zat him. [O'Neill]
As I said, O'Neill, ours is the only reality of consequence. [Teal'c]
All right, I gotta know. What the hell does "kree" mean? [O'Neill]
Well, actually, it means a lot of things. Um, loosely translated it means "attention", "listen up", "concentrate"... [Jackson]
"Yoo-hoo"?? [O'Neill]
Yes, in a manner of speaking. [Jackson]
Kawalsky, during your Special Ops training in your world, did they cover silence? [O'Neill]
My First Prime killed you before my very eyes. [Alternate Apophis]
I'm feeling much better, thank you. [O'Neill]
Oh, come on, ya gotta love those guys! [O'Neill]

Aris Boch is one of the greatest bounty hunters in the galaxy. When Goa'uld invaded his home planet, they discovered that his race physically rejects the Goa'uld and can't be used as hosts. As a result, the Goa'uld killed most of the population, leaving the youngest as slaves and addicting them to the substance roshna, which keeps them subservient, and without which they will die.
Boch said that his wife was killed, his son is a slave in Sokar's naquadah mines, he was sent to capture the Goa'uld Kel'tar for plotting against Sokar, and he trades in order to free himself and his son. In fact, he has no wife or son, is hunting Korra, a Tok'ra operative, and trades for the roshna he needs.
Korra was a spy in Sokar's ranks, but believed he had been discovered, and escaped in the cargo ship to the planet where Aris Boch was waiting for him.
Sokar's Goa'uld cargo ship uses a cloaking device.
Aris Boch is not affected by a zat gun.
The voice activated command for opening the cargo ship is "Barokna".
Tacluchnatagamuntoron, or "tac," is a Goa'uld automatic remote weapon.

Should have let the dog out... [O'Neill]
Actually, I'm a Major now. [Carter]
Oh, well, how very important. I'll inform the galaxy. [Aris Boch]
And you, O'Neill, you're considered, well, you're a pain in the mikta. [Aris Boch]
Neck? [O'Neill]
No. [Teal'c]
Do you want to know how I became the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy? [Aris Boch]
More than life itself. [O'Neill]
We're exactly one zat gun short of actually having a zat gun. [O'Neill]
Actually, the Goa'uld want to see you dead as much as anyone for figuring out the stargate. [Aris Boch]
Thank you. That doesn't make me feel any better. [Jackson]
The villagers, an early Christian culture using pre-Chaucer English, were probably taken from Medieval Europe through the Antarctic gate. The Canon is the spiritual leader who chooses the sacrifices, uses a ring handed down by generations of village canons to summon lightning, and forbids the villagers to look upon the Circle of Darkness. SG-1 has taken the ring, and the villagers will bury the gate.
Unas is a species, the first hosts of the Goa'uld. Unas visited the village as a demon, in the service of Sokar, in the role of Satan, claiming human sacrifices to be used as host bodies.
The trepanning ritual is a procedure often done in the Middle Ages in which a hole would be drilled into a person's head so that the evil spirits are released, thus saving the person from eternal damnation.
The tests of witchcraft include the Mark of the Devil, in which a mark on the body is insensitive to pain, and the Water Test, in which a victim who floated was guilty and burned at the stake, and one who drowned was innocent.
Teal'c survived drowning by putting himself into a deep state of kelno'reem, during which time the symbiote, in its natural environment, filtered the oxygen from the water and fed it to Teal'c.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Planet: Unnamed Planet Description: Forested Inhabitants: Young soldiers training for Apophis Emulated Culture: Emulating Earth SGC and Jaffa Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Goa'uld often use humans as fodder in battle. The young soldiers were brought through the stargate from different worlds five cycles ago, shortly after SG-1 destroyed Apophis' ships. They were trained by Jaffa masters and learned about Earth from SG-11 who were captured by Apophis and declared MIA eight months ago on P89-534, but who revealed little about Earth before they died. They were left with standing orders to practice the exercises of battle according to the Rules of Engagement until the return of Apophis, in preparation to infiltrate the Tauri as SGC units.
The Rules of Engagement are the code of battle during a young Jaffa's training, as dictated by Apophis. The Final Challenge is the day in a warrior's training when first blood is shed, and the games become real.
Captain Kyle Rogers (real name Rophiapgisy) is acting Quadrant A Commander. His second in command, Captain Nelson (No'var) heads the Jaffa forces.
Intars are weapons used in training. They can take the form of any weapon, use a crystal power source, and are only meant to stun.
The vo'cume is a device that projects a recorded audio/video image, used as a symbol of authority.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:

It is forbidden, punishable by death, for two Goa'uld hosts to have a human child. Such a child is Harsesis, and contains all the knowledge of the Goa'uld, because the genetic memory in the Goa'uld DNA is passed on to the human offspring. Harsesis are hunted down and destroyed by the Goa'uld.
Amaunet wanted to protect her child by Apophis from Heru'ur and the System Lords. Under the protection of Horus guards, she had come to Abydos to steal the child from Kasuf, and sent him into hiding with her closest aide, on Kheb. Kheb is the mythical place where Osiris hid from Set.
The ribbon device uses a modified version of the power source for a staff weapon, and channels energy through amplification crystals, using thought control amplified with emotion. It may be able to transfer thoughts as well as to kill.

Dargol, a chemical pesticide which adversely affected the environment and caused infertility, was banned 20 years ago on Vyus. Linea came to Vyus and discovered that dargol had the ability to slow the aging process, and her experiments led to an accident in which dargol gas entered the population, and residue settling between the synapses in the temporal lobes and Hippocampus sections of the brain blocked memories and caused amnesia.
The Vorlix occurred over a year ago when the accidental chain reaction of enhanced dargol gas caused the entire population to become young, and to forget everything in their past before the Vorlix.
Linea, also a victim of the Vorlix, became Ke'ra, the Minister of Health, Science, and Restructuring in the Vyus transitional government.
Orner's true name is Nodaal, and he has been married to Layale for 43 years.

Planet: Vorash Planet Description: Barren rocky desert Inhabitants: Temporary base of Tok'ra Resistance Emulated Culture:
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Sokar's forces are ten times larger than expected and he is prepared to launch an attack against six key System Lords, a vulnerable target due to the chaotic disorganization of Goa'uld feudal rule. He is strong enough to succeed, which could result in Sokar becoming the dominant power with an army large enough to rule the galaxy.
Netu, the moon orbiting Sokar's home planet of Delmak, was once an industrialized colony of Delmak. It takes its name from the book of Am-Taut which describes the ancient Egyptian "other world" regions, usually as dark pits of fire, home to monsters and the damned. Sokar used toxins in the atmosphere and explosions to release the molten core to transform the environment of Netu to match the description of Hell.
Because there is no stargate on Netu, SG-1 must gate to the planet Vorash, take a teltac to Netu, and arrive in descent pods.
A teltac is a Goa'uld cargo ship which Teal'c can fly with great proficiency.
Na'onak is First Prime to Bynarr, Lord of Netu and Sokar's appointed leader.
The memory device used on SG-1 by Hathor is indeed Tok'ra technology which can be adjusted for different settings of sensory responses.
Using the memory device, Carter recalls her mother's death when she was a teenager.
The transportation rings work like stargates, transmitting a matter stream over shorter distances. Each ring mechanism has sensors that can locate other rings and detect the coordinates to make a connection.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
You said "Hell," right? [Daniel]
Well, I'm going to end up there sooner or later. Might as well check out the neighborhood, huh? [O'Neill]

The "Blood of Sokar" is a powerful narcotic that can cause very realistic hallucinations.
There are no weapons capable of penetrating the shields of a Goa'uld mother ship. Aldwin's orders from the Tok'ra High Council are to launch a weapon at the core of Netu, causing a chain reaction within 12 minutes that will destroy Netu as well as Sokar's ship in orbit.
Entac is a primitive world, recently conquered by Sokar, which Martouf described as a base of Tok'ra resistance in his lie to Apophis.
Carter's mother died when she was a teenager. Jacob was supposed to pick her up, but when he was late, she took a cab and was in an accident. Carter's brother blamed Jacob, leading to their estrangement.

SG-1 returned from a planet with a temple that might have been Kheb, but there was no sign of the Harsesis.
The aliens were preparing for an invasion of Earth as a viable new homeworld. They hid their activities by closing off Level 23 because of a supposed tetrachloroethylene rupture, a gas which causes hallucinations and paranoid delusions.
The alien procedure uses an electronic device to duplicate the image, and another to access the mind and thoughts, of the human counterpart kept alive in suspended animation. A sustained specific tone will disrupt the devices. The humans wake up if the alien dies, or is disconnected from the device, or goes through the gate. The escaped aliens may retain the knowledge of their human counterparts. Those left behind were linked to their leader, and were killed when he self destructed.
The procedure failed to work on Teal'c and Carter because their body chemistry had been altered by the presence of the Goa'uld symbiote.
The foothold situation began when SG-6 returned from P3X-118 as alien duplicates, and began replacing members of the SGC and Major Davis from the Pentagon with alien counterparts. P3X-118 has now been locked out of the dialing program, all access codes have been changed, and returning teams in the future will be scanned by a high frequency blast.
Carter met Maybourne at The Old Bailiff Cafe outside NID Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Planet: Tollana Planet Description: Modern city Inhabitants: Tollans Emulated Culture: Technologically highly advanced Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Tollans were relocated with help from the Nox, to their new home world of Tollana. Outside the original gate system, they built their own stargate there.
High Chancellor Travell is head of the Curia, highest governing body of the Tollan.
The Triad is an ancient Tollan ceremony of justice, similar to a trial, in which two "seekers" (defendants) select "archons" (attorneys) to represent them until a decision is reached by a third neutral party.
Lord Zipacna, Klorel's archon, was one of Apophis's most loyal underlords.
Klorel crashed on Tollana while fleeing two mother ships dispatched by Heru'ur, knowing that they would be destroyed by the Tollan defense grid and ion cannons.
The Tollan detachment device, worn around the chest, suppresses a Goa'uld's ability to silence his host, thus allowing each to speak at will, indicated by the red light for a symbiote, blue light for the host.
The Tok'ra removed Klorel from Skaara, to be sent to another Goa'uld planet.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:
Ours is bigger. [O'Neill]
Is that a money-back-if-you're-not-completely-alive guarantee? [O'Neill]
The device implanted in the brain was designed to observe, explore, and experience alien cultures. It emitted a barely measurable electromagnetic field, caused a sensitivity to the power of suggestion, produced unexplained cravings and an increased acuity in the senses, especially taste and smell. An error in the visual communication interface allowed the subjects to see and hear Urgo.

That's the one. [Hammond]
Wait, I can be dull! Want me to be dull? What a nice shade of gray. How about some white bread with mayonnaise? Wanna watch golf on television? [Urgo]
Will you flip the switch?? [O'Neill]
Okay... if you call that singing... [O'Neill]
Hey, my software doesn't make me sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"! [O'Neill]

Planet: Edora (P5C-768) Planet Description: Grassy hills and meadows Inhabitants: Edorans Emulated Culture: Early Rural European Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Edora is the fourth planet in its solar system and its orbit passes through an asteriod belt. The resulting meteor shower, known as "Fire Rain" by the Edorans, occurs on the same nights every year. Every 150 years the irregularity of the orbits causes an impact event.
Because the stargate was buried while the wormhole was active, the molten naquadah from the impact hardened above the event horizon like an iris, allowing the gate to still be reactivated. Subatomic particles from the particle beam generator bombarding the hardened naquadah produced energy and heat enough to melt the naquadah barrier and created a pocket of super-heated gas. The unstable vortex of gate activation expanded the pocket to create a cavern large enough for matter to reintegrate and for a person to get through.
The Edorans are probably descendants of people brought to Edora by the Goa'uld thousands of years ago.
Edora has valuable and abundant naquadah resources.
The decay rate of naquadah is approximately 150 years, used for dating.
O'Neill's grandfather is from northern Minnesota.

Planet: Unnamed Planet Description: Barren mountains and cliffs Inhabitants: Rogue SG team from Earth Emulated Culture:
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Asgard and the Tollan approached the SGC with evidence of theft of technology by the SGC. They, and the Nox, threatened to sever diplomatic ties. The Tollans insisted that the SGC apprehend their own rogue team, and the Asgard insisted that O'Neill be the only one involved.
Maybourne led the rogue SG organization, described as an "offshoot" of the NID, with command coming from very high civilian levels. Their mission statement is to use whatever means necessary to acquire goods and technology that could help Earth in the battle against the Goa'uld, or other unforeseen aggressors.
PX3-595 is an Asgard protected planet. The natives, known as Tiernods, are primitive, and hide from predators in caves, using an Asgard device to vanish. The mission to PX3-595 was to steal the Asgard vanishing device for the rogue organization.
O'Neill gave the (unconfirmed) story that a secondary SGC base was to be established offworld as a backup, with O'Neill in command, but the Pentagon didn't grant the backing.

Planet: P2X-416 (Bedrosia and Optrica) Planet Description: Forested, stargate encased in rock Inhabitants: Bedrosians and Optricans Emulated Culture: Egyptian origins Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Carter's new cold dialing program searches for new stargates by periodically redialing cartouche stargate addresses that hadn't connected the first time. The planet P2X-416 was the first connection made by the new program.
Bedrosia and Optrica are rival continents that have been engulfed in an ideological war for decades. The Optricans believe that humans were brought to the planet by aliens who travelled through a gateway. During the upheaval, a period of violent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions covering most of the continent about 2000 year ago, the gateway was buried and the beings could no longer come through. The Bedrosians believe that the planet and its people were created on Bedrosia by the god Nefertum, without the need of a gateway.
Nefertum, the Blue Lotus Blossum of Ra, son of Sakmet, was an under System Lord to Ra, and probably brought the people to the planet. The Bedrosians believe he is the creator of the planet and its people, as related in their holy book, the Book of Nefertum.
The portable naquadah reactor can be used as a power source to manually dial the stargate.
Nyan, a scientist with the Research Academy on Bedrosia, returned to Earth and will obtain refugee status to remain as a research assistant to Daniel.

Planet: Kheb Planet Description: Temple, untouched wilderness Inhabitants: Monk, Oma Desala, the Harsesis Emulated Culture: Buddhist Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Chulak was attacked and destroyed by Apophis, searching for the Harsesis child. Moac, Bra'tac's newest apprentice, died from injuries received during the battle.
Bra'tac, now 135 years old, is approaching the age when he can no longer carry a prim'ta.
In Earth mythology, Osiris once hid from Seth on Kheb. In Jaffa legend, Osiris hid on a planet of the Loc'na ko, a group of planets whose resources were depleted by mining.
The SGC database includes stargate address references from both the Abydos cartouche (indicated in yellow, including the Loc'na ko) and the Ancients' original map fed into the computer by O'Neill (indicated in red, and including Kheb).
SG-2, under Major Coburn, acted as backup to SG-1 on the mission to Kheb.
Kheb, an untouched wilderness with great mountains and a single temple in a valley distant from the gate, is a world feared and despised by the Goa'uld. According to ancient legend it was discovered long ago by a few Jaffa and kept secret from the Goa'uld. When a Jaffa could no longer carry a prim'ta, he would make the journey to Kheb where his kalach (soul) would learn the path through the darkness into the next life. When the Goa'uld learned of Kheb and travelled there, they did not return, and so it was forbidden to speak of it.
The temple on Kheb was built by an alien race millennia ago who may have visited Earth and inspired the mythology surrounding the concept of mother nature. They discovered a means of ascending to some higher ethereal plane of existence and went there, leaving the writings on the shrine as a guide for others to follow. The Monk spoke in Zen koans, suggesting that the theology of Kheb may have been an original basis for Buddhism on Earth.
"Oma Desala" means "Mother Nature".

CRYSTAL SKULL
Planet: P7X-377 Planet Description: Enormous pyramid with high radiation levels Inhabitants: Quetlzelcoatl Emulated Culture: Mayan Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The pyramid on P7X-377 is of Mayan design and over 1000 meters high. Readings within the pyramid indicate high, potentially lethal levels of muon radiation. The indication of leptons suggests that some material inside is slowing down neutrinos, which ordinarily pass through ordinary matter. Such a material could change our understanding of physics.
Daniel's parents both died when he was eight. His grandfather, Nicholas Ballard, chose not to adopt him, and followed his career as an archaeologist instead.
Nicholas Ballard found a crystal skull in 1971 in Belize in a temple which collapsed and disappeared after its discovery. He was driven out of the academic community because of his theory that if one were to look into the eyes of the skull, one would be teleported to see giant aliens. He had a severe mental breakdown and checked himself into a psychiatric institution in Oregon 20 years ago where Daniel visited him regularly until four years ago when they had a falling out just before he joined the SGC. The skull from Belize is now in the Smithsonian.
Hammond's granddaughters are Tessa (the older) and Kayla, who recently lost a tooth.
The giant alien gave his name as "Quetlzelcoatl" and spoke in Mayan: "Uy ah ual ing ual ing wetail" meaning "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." The aliens are enemies of the Goa'uld, and welcomed Nicholas Ballard to remain with them.
MEMORABLE REMARKS:

Planet: The Biliskner Planet Description: Thor's ship, orbiting Earth Inhabitants: Thor and the Replicators Emulated Culture: Norse, technologically advanced Episode Guide |
Pictures
NOTES OF INTEREST:
The Replicators, the enemy of the Asgard more dangerous than the Goa'uld, were discovered on an isolated planet. Their creators were apparently dead, and they were brought aboard an Asgard ship for study. They infested the ship, fed off the metals, ingesting the alloys and replicating, using numbers to attack and become a plague on the galaxy. They have an extremely high ability for learning, and are capable of functioning both independently and as a group with a single purpose.
The Biliskner, Thor's Asgard ship, is powered by four neutrino ion generators. It uses a molecular transportation device which was disabled in one direction to prevent escape, and was destroyed by entering Earth's atmosphere.
The ship crashed into the Pacific Ocean about 400 miles off the coast of California, and Naval recovery teams were sent in to search for the wreckage.
The team gated to P3X-234. Hammond ordered the Beta gate to be unpacked from storage to allow their return.
