no offence, i love to be here and share all the joy with you all.. but sometimes i wish i have some friends around me to share the things we shared here.
it could be fun to gather some night and watch rda movies together and do all the comments we do here alive.. oh i so want to do it..
i have very few friends who rda is.. unlucky about this stuff..

At home, everybody like Jack O'Neill and SG series and I don't have no (woman) friend around me who's Rick's fan I'm sure they only know the Mac's character and nothing else... _________________

I have friends who enjoyed MacGyver or SG1, but none who are as fanactical about RDA as I. _________________ Life is not measure by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away. |

I do have a good friend in France. We only recently found out we both had a crush on RDA when we were teens. But since we don't live in the same country nor speak the same language, I guess that doesn't count. Sadly, I don't have any friends within a fairly short distance so I will have to answer "no" to your question. It would be nice to have a friend like that though! _________________ For crying out loud! |

Xena, you always have so good ideas for new threads.
I'm also alone with my crush on RDA. The others in my family don't even like to watch STARGATE and they have never watched MacGyver. Poor people. It seems that I'm the only one in our family, who has a good taste. I have friends who are fans of SGA and also SG1, but they like the show in general and not only the General.
Therefore I was really happy, when I met RDA-fans at the conventions I've attended. They don't look at you with a strange face when you tell them stories about RDA with shiny eyes. _________________

Hi ladies. We are mother and daughter. And unfortunately we are often ridiculed when we come out us as RDA fans. We also know anyone who is passionate about RDA. That is why we love this forum with comments and photos of ladies who share our passion. Greetings to all from Berlin-Germany.

Several of the ladies I work with on a daily basis are fans of RDA. We're all close to the same age. The person that really surprised me was our District Manager. She can come across like a real "witch" sometimes, but when she heard me talking about MTM last year, she admitted she was a huge fan of his. She said that she wished she had known about MTM because she would have loved to go. The day I brought some of my pictures from MTM to work, she was there. Talk about drooling. I never imagined that she was capable of something like that. Hmmmm maybe I should tell her about the THUNK thread on this site.

I had a mad mad crush on RDA back in the 90's, MacGyver!
Then several yrs later my Son makes me aware of SG 1... mercy me!
Just this yr I rediscovering RDA all over again. I am grateful my Hubby doesn't object and actually watches SG 1 with me, heck even MacGyver! Overall though, I am alone, other then through the internet. |

it's nice to hear that some of us have fan friends. i sometimes wish we gather one night at ones house and acompanied by some good wine.. we watch sg-1 or macgver episodes.. or we make a rda film night.. (think about it watching jack rouke all together oh my! ) i so long for that.. last year we did a few star wars nights with friends from high school.. it was fun.. but everyone liked starwars in the group.. i wish they loved sg-1 like that but they are really not interested.. _________________ if i could give you one thing in life, i would give you the ability to see yourself

That would be so great, but I got an impression how it would be at MTM last year. Before each panel with Rick started, the organizers showed a video with scenes from STARGATE and maybe MacGyver (not sure about that). Each time when Rick looked extremely HOT, you could hear very loud OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHs and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHs. The dumbest person had to notice that there was something really excitíng going on among Rick's fans.
The funny thing was, that Rick was standing at the door or was already sitting somewhere in my block , while this show happend. I wondered how he might have felt hearing us sighing, because of his hotness. _________________
