This is wonderful book for those of us who feel "dogs are their favorite people". Involves a man who aspires to be a race car driver, his family and his dog; lots of (doggy) insights into people.

Helped me have greater appreciation for the Formula One racers and this style of racing. And to be on the look-out for those dogs who are, when they are ready, people-to-be.

There are life-and-death issues and discussion but nothing that would be too much for or beyond the Young Adult reader.
