Hoping that some kind soul will assist in this, have tried to find Rick on Twitter to follow but cannot? anyone have similar problems? I am registered on there, have been for a little while but very rarely (if ever) used it.
Any help would be appreciated

Is there any privacy on twitter? I always thought, that the whole world can read what people write!  Isn't that the concept of twitter?
Hey, I saw that you are there as well, as I found a reply from you to the pic he sent us. I have no problems to read what he writes. Are there any advantages when people are registered? And what means "following" exactly? I would appreciate your help.

yep, there's a possibility to send private messages to others under the 'direct message' link. There's also a possibilty to block others from reading your tweets by only allowing friends/followers to read your tweets. You can block followers too.
