Hi all,
At QTF, there was a nice lady who had Stargate ornaments for RDA to sign. She said she had purchased them at Hallmark Cards.
My local Hallmarks haven't even heard of the ornaments. Confused
Anyone know anything about these?
Thanks,
Diana

There are no Stargate ornaments at Hallmark. They have Star Trek
and Star Wars ornaments. I purchased the Ghostbusters Ectomobile
for my son who is a huge fan of the Ghostbusters movies, etc. (I
was pregnant at the time when the first movie came out in 1984.)
I wonder what she had him sign....a trekkie ornament? Laughing Laughing

You can check it out at www.hallmark.com

Some very nice person from America sent this for me and some of my friends and there is much squee all over! If you push the button it will play several sayings, there is Jack's "For crying out loud" and others.

The sayings are all in this post:

http://forum.gateworld.net/showpost.php?p=10511636&postcount=1

It is the same thread Verona posted but I have the feeling BarbaraBoo missed the link, so I am posting it again.

It is well worth the money in my opinion! Kinda cheesy, and in the category of "Look, what those crazy Americans put on their Christmas trees" Wink but then again cheesy enough to be awesome. At the backside of it is the DHD surface, btw.

Yeh the ornament is actually from Carlton Cards (hope I spelled that right), and it shows the gate on the front with the SG1 gang (Jack, Daniel, Sam and Teal'c) in the middle and on the back it has the DHD. And on the one side it has a very small button that when pressed has a few different random sayings and it will say one of them. For example:

"Indeed" in Teal'c's voice
"Oh for crying out loud" in Jack's voice

Can't remember the other ones that it says. I asked my brother and my mother to get me one for Christmas (hoping that one of the two will get it for me) and when my mother saw the $40ish pricetag I think she had second thoughts...... Sad

I showed my son the link for the ornament. I put him on a quest
for finding one for me. Will be checking local card stores that are
not associated with Hallmark.

You know, Ducktaped, your mom and brother can go halves on the
ornament for you. Don't they understand that you have been good
all year and that this ornament would look great on the tree.

Indeed!

Looks real cool.

We dont have such a shop here so I cant buy it.

It would be so great to have a tree full with ornaments of stargate.
Jack Tealc Sam and Danny and all the others.

Ofcourse we can make them ourselfs as well.

I saw some coool card that was self made and I think I going to make that next year.

Could not do it now had no ink left for the printer and it was to late for making them as well.

Yeah, I kinda had a clue. But you have to admit, this is cheaper than therapy, and a heck of a lot more fun! I love doing the cartoons, too. Anything to brighten the day...I think we could all use it.
