| Does anyone know what is going on with the Syfy channel. Like why they stopped airing Stargate all of the sudden? They haven't aired it all this month. I'm getting O'Neill deprived here, going thru withdrawls. Thanks. |

It's October. Siffie runs nothing but Halloween/"scary" movies all month. Thank goodness it's almost November! Our regular 6pm SG-1 will return next Monday.

According to my local (NYC/ Long Island) newspaper TV Guide, for the week beginning Nov.2, Stargate SG-1 is NOT on the schedule at 6:00 pm - more lame movies instead. However, the SG-1 website says YES it's supposed to be on at 6 (except Wednesday) - but doesn't give episode information. Who is correct?
I would hate to think SYFY would drop SG-1 - but knowing their mentality, it is entirely possible.
Have to wait and see...

| My onguide schedule doesn't say anything about Stargate either, at least for Monday or Tuesday. They've been airing that dumb show V for the last few days. Hope they don't drop Stargate SG-1. I'd be disappointed in the Syfy channel which I've always liked. |

Here's the Syfy schedule page
http://www.syfy.com/schedule/index.php
Type in Stargate in the search field, and it will give you the schedule for the next month for all the Stargates (usually they have the episode titles) - but it is subject to change, so you need to check back avery week or so..
Like right now (5:30 EST) they're showing "V", when today's schedule says it's supposed to be Atlantis.
IMDb says the next SG-1 is Friday. _________________

Well, they've got that new show "V" (remake, but maybe it'll be better this time) with the young lady who played Adria in a lead role. She makes a creepily good bad guy, so maybe it's worth watching? But why they'd run the other one is beyond my ability to reason. It sucked. Good premise, crappy writing. JMO. I'm sure it had some redeeming qualities, I just couldn't find them.
I miss SG-1. We're threatening to break out the DVD's for a fix.

You just do that Kat,
I didn't know that about Adria... just loved her. She makes an excellent 'bad guy'.
You can only go 'up' with V. I am watching it now... cause I taped it all. It's okay, the best that they had 'back-in-the-day'... really hokey. But really, they didn't have the best tech, did they?
But I liked seeing the actors and actresses. Marc Singer, who was the "Beastmaster", and others... which is why I started watching it.
Kind of reminded me of last week when I saw Star Trek TNG's Pilot movie. Really old, dated... but still, good points.
I guess I'm just an old sentimentalist...
But you are right, nothing like SG-1 to fix you up. Some things NEVER get old. _________________

As I suspected... No SG-1 at 6. Hummm... this does not bode well.
As much as I enjoy the DVD's - especially no commercial breaks - I still get a thrill with just the idea of SG-1 still being aired, 12 years after its inception. Not many shows can boast that kind of longevity (I know there are some, but please... don't list them). Its a justification that the show's premise is still valid after all this time.
SG-U is promising, but the first year of any new show is not a guaranty that the show will be back for more seasons. New viewers of Stargate may need some background about the show they're watching, and continued airing of the original series is an excellent way to accomplish that.
Let's hope SyFy doesn't drop SG-1 cold.

Just saw SyFy's November schedule... Very few episodes being shown. Too bad.
On a brighter note, I read today in the New York Times business section that NBC Universal is about to be bought by an even bigger conglomerate, so who knows what the future will bring for SyFy... Maybe "...they"ll get what's coming to them!..."

The way all of the programming has gone, it'll probably show up on The Weather Channel!!!
...and when it does, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'M going to draw a cartoon about it.
I just may anyways.

Okay, so here's my take:
Siffie moves SG-1 to make room for their blockbuster shows, but there's always hope, since sister network The Weather Channel seems to be reformatting their programming...
DannySpeak Translator:
DANNY: "Uh...Jack?"
JACK: "I say let's blame Jonas for this one, Danny..."
Oh...and if you want to know what happened to weatherman Al Roker, you're going to have to check what went on last week's Today Show (NBC TV in the US) when they had some guests for their Halloween costume segment. I'm not saying it.
