Thank you, ladies, for your comments. Smile

Too bad we don't have a MacGyver figure for all those MacGyver locations, though. We could have had fun with him in Stevenson as well...

Yes. It's a pity. Well, we can make one. Laughing

And the one with "Watch for bikes" surprisingly works! When you did it, I did not see the fascination with it, as I usually don't like when you can see the "real" world, as it blows the miniature world I want to create, but I really like this one!

Thanks. I was overly excited right the moment I had spotted the sign. Immediately saw its potential. Very Happy

And the beach and sunset closes it all nicely. Wasn't that where we talked with that man who suddenly became very interested and even took some pictures himself?

Did he take pictures himself? I didin't notice. Was too concentrating on watching over Jack, so he wouldn't get swept away by a wave.
I remember the guy was very interested and adviced to go with the camera low to the ground to get the effect of perspective. He somehow didn't seem to believe me that I already knew that until you showed him the photo book. LOL

Vancouver adventures - the last day

Jack's short vacation was coming to its end. There were still a couple of hours left before the departure and Jack decided to pop in Granville Island - a place with an artistic feel, warehouses converted into galleries, studios, restaurants and markets, streets filled with the sound of live music. It was nice to just walk along and relax.

Arriving at False Creek, looking northeast towards Yaletown:

In marina on False Creek

Sunbathing at the Granville Bridge.

There are also plenty of interesting shops out there.

Jack enjoyed them, too.

Very entertaining stuff could be found in this shop.

Jack: Now this is not funny. Really. Get me out of here. Hey! Where're you going?! Don’t leave me behind, damn!

And that's about it. This is the very end of our story. Of course, we later set Jack free. He was very happy (his expletives cannot be cited on a public forum), and in a warm friendly atmosphere, we headed towards the airport.

Good bye, Vancouver.

Thanks for watching. I hope you have enjoyed the story as much as I was having fun with preparing it. Later, I may yet add a few behind the scenes photos.

As if it is a real man. Surprised

Perfect seat. The photo wouldn't be as half as nice without the wing.

My friend Nike also has the action figure bug, we have done quite a few stories together. Today I want to show you her newest pictures, those are posted with her permission. It's something for the Sam & Jack shippers among you Wink

She has made everything herself - the wedding dress, the cakes, etc.

Edit: three more pics:

To Nike's pictures: This is so lovely. It's always a pleasure and big fun to see results of Nike's creativity and invention. The wedding dress is awesome. Jack in 'real' dress blues too. And the decorated Mini Cooper - LOL. Thank you, Astra, for posting this. Very Happy I look forward to your next story!

Also my belated thank-you to everyone for your comments on the Vancouver series.

Laughing Laughing Don't worry. Even if I wanted to, I don't have enough time for such experimenting. Besides, there are other projects high up on my action figure list than making a mullet. Wink

I promissed to post a few pictures to the previous story. So here you are:

Vancouver adventures - behind the scenes

Looking at the arranged pictures, which use the magic of perspective, one can easily forget how small the figures are in real. Comparing these images with behind-the-scenes photos showing the correct proportions is often fun. Here are some of them for everyone who is interested to see more of the background for the photo story.

Waiting for our plane at a lovely busy Dresden Airport:

Preparing the 'big bug' scene from "Bane" at Plaza of Nations. Squeezing the flagpoles into the frame and making it work at such a small distance from the figures was quite a challenge here.

Astra trying a different angle:

Teal’c: What is your purpose, O’Neill?
Jack: If she’s not putting us back on the ground, I’m gonna shoot her.
Teal’c: I believe it would be unwise.
Jack: I didn’t say it was wise. I just hate it how she’s waving with us in the air.

Beside the planned scenes, there was still time for experimenting. Astra is exploring the beach potential at English Bay:

Jack: Eew. What the hell is this green goo? No, I won’t be standing there. No way. Hey, can you hear m-mmmmmph

This photo perfectly illustrates the sight the passers-by get when they spot the action figure photo shoot settlement: 'Look at it, honey. What is the wacko doing over there?' Smile

Paparazzi in close proximity to Bridge Studios:

Preparing for a scene on Tollana. It took several test shots to balance the 'correct' size of the stairs.

Sometimes, they fall...

SG-1 re-creating the scene from Upgrades:

Daniel: I don’t wanna go through it again. How many times have we done this?
Sam: Daniel’s right, Sir. I hate to admit it, but this photo shoot is exhausting. This was supposed to be vacation. And we’re running up and down a hill instead.
Jack [between trying to catch his breath]: Would you rather live in a showcase?
