Great photos and story as always. The seals are very cute.

WOW, fantastic. I guess I'll have to visit this place, if I come back to Vancouver one day.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! The boat pictures! The boat pictures! Finally! I was waiting for those. I mean, you showed some to me already, but they are so awesome. He looks indeed comfortable. I need to dig out my own, took some as well - sorry for stealing your idea. But surely they cannot compare at all.

strudel and pcaseyco, are you still around? Do you remember our boat trip to Victoria?

I also always will like the look of those orange cranes against the blue sky/sea. That is a great sight.

LOL at Jack complaining about the new boots Wink

I do remember! Also remember the Guinness photo shoot! Do you still have the "Behind the Scenes" Traveling Jack photos? Was funny since you two didn't realize I was taking them!

Sure I do! Thanks for taking them, it's interesting to see it from the outside. We had fun that day, hadn't we? I just found the ones again we took in the garden... I have forgotten so much!

Yes. He was quite focused. We couldn't drag him away.

It is definitely worth it. A very nice place, beautiful views, calm atmosphere.

Sure, we have them. Thank you so much for sending them. Actually, I was pondering about posting a special behind the scenes sequel after finishing the story. Thought it might be funny to show how the figures are small in real.

Vancouver Adventures - continuing

A new day, many new attractions to see.

Walking in the streets of Downtown, Jack was somehow lost in thoughts, and if it weren't for us, we would have almost passed a very important spot.

Paya and Astra: Jack, wait!
Jack: Hm?

P&A [pointing]: The building behind you.
Jack: So?
P&A: THE building.
Jack [turning back lazily]: Ah. This the headquarters you were looking for? The... what was the name? ...[murmuring]... ya know, the one that has to do with ashes... well, never mind. Okay, let's have a look.

Jack: It does have an interesting design, I grant you that.

Jack was in an exceptional good mood and was posing leisurely for our cameras.

Stanley Park was only a stone's throw away from here. Jack jumped on his motorbike and was there in a minute.
He parked his toy at the waterfront and took a while to admire the beautiful view across the Burrard Inlet and over the skyline of Vancouver Downtown.

Moving on, scanning the sophisticated road marking.

This special place couldn't be omitted on our trip. Totem poles created by the Haida, Kwakiutl and other Aboriginal peoples.

Then Xeíls showed us the way to other spirits...

...to the world of marine life in Vancouver Aquarium, where Jack enjoyed his visit greatly, this time void of alien references, only admiring the elegant animals.

The beautiful, graceful white beluga. Jack was enthralled by the sight.

The whale statue outside at the entrance caught Jackís attention.

Jack: Nice! Letís take a photo for Daniel.
Paya: Sure.
Jack: Wait. I'll stand in the front. Is the whole whale in the picture?
Paya: Yes.
Jack: Me too?
Paya: Yes.
Jack: Good.

Whale is one of the animals significant to the Aboriginal culture of British Columbia. Read the words of wisdom by the Northwest Coast peoples. Words so fitting to Jackís travels that he felt the whale spirit became the guardian of his journey.

It was the last evening of his vacation when Jack took his bike at a vacant beach and relished a ride along the surf. It was his special way of saying goodbye. He was carving circles and lines in the sand, fooling around, having fun, and his excitement at the feel of freedom was more than obvious.

Not the very end yet. Stay tuned for the final part of the story! Smile

Marvelous photos Paya. The pics from the Vancouver Aquarium are so clear that you can see every drop of water. Very Happy

Great shots, especially the second one. "Watch for bikes", otherwise you could accidentally tread down one of them. Wink Somehow this marking reminds me of StarWars. Rolling Eyes Wink

*sigh* It's really hard to always come up with new words, as "fabulous" and "magnificient" get old after a while, but what else is one supposed to say about all these perfect shots?

Too bad we don't have a MacGyver figure for all those MacGyver locations, though. We could have had fun with him in Stevenson as well... I love the shot from under the building up into the height. I love unusual views onto tall buildings.

The pictures of Vancouver Downtown across the water are also wonderful. And the one with "Watch for bikes" surprisingly works! When you did it, I did not see the fascination with it, as I usually don't like when you can see the "real" world, as it blows the miniature world I want to create, but I really like this one!

And the beach and sunset closes it all nicely. Wasn't that where we talked with that man who suddenly became very interested and even took some pictures himself?
