You're amazing, ladies! The sportwear stuff...It looked real! So very real! I wonder, what..One Certain Person would think. Wink And that T's apartement...Aww! And J's blueberries! And that one scene in which J and S were dancing...Aaahhh! Be still, my beating heart! Not to forget the scene in which The Duo's other half was resting his or her head on other's lap! When I saw that, I was ready to faint! Gorgeous work!

It's been a while - glad you liked Jack in the fitness studio!

True LOL

He borrowed them from Baywatch Ken - I think I might have posted those pictures with Jack in a diving suit before?

Astra, very fun!
I see T' has had an influence on the cool-down. Good find on the candles!

Actually, we made the candles ourselves - from plasticine!

And today I bring some new pictures - I was at vacation at the Baltic Sea, and there were these two guys right next to me at the beach. They seemed very friendly and allowed me to take some pictures. I always had a thing for surfboys...

Jack and Daniel at vacation at the Sea - part 1/2

But I love that they also were like little boys when they made their - what's it called in English? We call it "Kleckselburg", when you let the wet sand drop through your fingers and it becomes like stalakmites.

Then a little break was needed.

Time to go home now:

(In case you are wondering about the shirts - those are actually Spike and Angel in Hawaiian shirts, I just changed the heads and painted their arms in the color to match the faces, since the vampires where too white LOL)

To be continued

Thank you - glad you liked it! To not let you wait any longer - here is part 2/2:

A vacation with only lying at the beach is boring, so Daniel asked whether they could do some sightseeing and visit that church:

Jack agreed but only if they also visited that famous submarine:

"Oh Jack, can we rent a beach chair, too? I always wanted to sit in a beach chair!"

"You're right, Daniel, that is quite comfy!"

"Um, Jack, that's actually not what I meant."

Daniel is pissed.

Then he finds another solution against the sun - the pink umbrella from my ice cream bowl.

THE END

Hey Astra.
The beach chair is really funny!
Where did you find a chair that small?

Oh, they sell them everywhere at the tourist shops, in all kinds of shapes and sizes! Should have bought a bigger one, though, it was not my intention to make Daniel pissed Wink

And thanks!

(if you go back to the beginning of this thread, Liz already had Jack and Sam sit in a beach chair years ago, it's what gave me the idea)

LOL at the surfer boys - looks like everyone had fun - until the beach chair 'incident'.

"Kleckselburg" will have to do, since we don't make those things here in the US. We do play with the sand that way, but all we are doing is making piles of sand, so nothing special enough about them to give them a name.

BTW, the stuff that sticks up from the ground are stalagmites ('g' for ground), while the ones that hang down from the ceiling are stalactites ('c' for ceiling).

Hey, that's great! I will remember now. What's the English word for "Eselsbrücke"? LOL

Astra,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Life has had me too distracted lately. (Thanks for the e-mail as well!)

Wonderful work and very fun! Great job on the perspective! Especially like the one where they are shaking the blanket. Looks very real. I'm sure it was not always easy to get the fellows to remain standing in the loose sand.

Thanks for sharing your efforts!

I've always remembered the phrase: Stalactites hold on tight; stalagmites might if they got the chance.

Astra, thank you so much for sharing your special holidays photos. I love the way you made Jack and Daniel interact with each other. Very well arranged. And Jack being seated comfortably in the chair, enjoying the shadow while Daniel is sitting in the sand, sweating under the Sun - it's hilarious. Laughing

Donkeys bridge??

::decides direct translation isn't the true meaning, so looks it up::

Ah, that's called a mnemonic or mnemonic device - the 'm' is silent. But since another translation of Esel is blockhead, I can see how the German word would mean an aid for remembering LOL

Yes, and your mnemonic is pretty boring, actually Wink You don't have any funny word for it? And yes, it is an easy way for people to remember stuff. Mostly rhyming for orthography things. Like: "Wer nämlich mit h schreibt, ist dämlich".

TO ALL:

A bit off topic, but I want to show you something.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1383532/Knuffingen-Airport-German-builds-worlds-largest-model-airport.html

This incredible miniature airport is only a small part of the Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg, I plan to visit it one day. Isn't it amazing how the planes even start and land?

I found the official video to the whole thing (skip the advert in the beginning by clicking ).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVURtmxwqMc

They have the whole world there, Austria and Switzerland and Norway and USA. You will see the Grand Canyon and also Las Vegas, even at night with the lights on. Amazing.

And this is the video about the finished airport (the one at the English page above is the unfinished airport)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz4NcTnQedo

They also have Area 51 and the Stargate!

http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com/exhibit/wunderland-sections/america/america-highlights/area-51/

I love how all the cars are going around as well, with blinking lights and everything. This is so much more than an ordinary model train.

And the pushing buttons - I will make sure to push every button I see ; ) There is also a fire and then fire engines coming. As I said, it is HUGE.

If you ever are near Hamburg, go visit! The only reason I haven't been there yet is that I wanted to wait till they are finished - but they never are finished, they just rent another hall and keep expanding.
