There will be a MacGyver reference and a brief clip from an episode (it should be Three for the Road) on this week's episode of Young Sheldon. Frankly, I'm surprised there hasn't been one before now - it seems only logical that Sheldon Cooper would have grown up watching MacGyver!

It took considerable back-and-forth to finally get RDA's release to use his image, but I'm told it has gone through and the reference will air after all.

Look for it: Young Sheldon, episode 402, "A Docent, A Little Lady and a Bouncer Named Dalton," Thursday, November 12th, on CBS, at 8pm ET.

cool thank you Kate for letting us know ....I love that show I was wondering if they were going to reference macgyver at some point i mean they did in the big bang theory but that was the word magyvered

Well, they did include the MacGyver reference and clip, but I still think it should have been SHELDON watching it.

Still, his parents have good taste.
