The shop states that it has only has German subtitles... Which is a pity.
But could does be an error on the website? Because I have the (Koch) Miami Vice boxset as well (the 'neon' colored one https://imgur.com/l5xgdtk) and it DOES have English subtitles.
On the Plaion website, the newer 'teal' colored Miami Vice boxset states it only has German subtitles: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Miami-Vi ... ay/327542/
While blu-ray.com states that this one DOES have English subtitles: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Miami-Vi ... ay/327542/
So it's rather confusing and I'm still hoping for English subtitles for the MacGyver boxset. Otherwise this would be a big bummer and a showstopper for me for a non-native English speaker...
I also contacted Plaion for further explanation...
PS: I was also hoping for a French soundtrack, but hey

No subtitles at all on seasons 2 - 7 of the CBS blu-ray box set... Only English audio, nothing moreSkurk wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 12:22 pmWell, you could choose the Amercan blueray box of macgyver.saaiborg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 6:47 pm The shop states that it has only has German subtitles... The stuff is already there. I just find a different way to use it.
Re: MacGyver: The Complete Series Blu-ray Set (Koch Films Germany)
I second that:
Seriously? With all the accessibility requirements these days, I didn't even know that was legal anymore, especially for something that WAS captioned in its original form. That would be important to know before buying.
I just bought that CBS set - and then never got it - and then canceled it... long story. I don't want to hijack this thread with a different topic here so I'll share the whole saga elsewhere in a little while. But maybe I just saved myself a couple hundred dollars?

I bought the CBS set soon after it was launched - season one is exactly the same as the single season one blu-ray Set offered earlier, the latter seasons are just English audio, nothing else. But I enjoyed the better video and audio quality! It was like watching the whole thing for the first time - a kind of 'new experience'!KateR wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 3:47 pmI second that:

I'm glad that I spent the money!

Re: MacGyver: The Complete Series Blu-ray Set (Koch Films Germany)
Well, then the years of waiting for the box from the small Plaion studio seem to have been worth it. At least I know that they always go to great lengths and pay attention to detail. CBS seems to have seen the quick buck. Aren't they even Paramount now?
However, 200 euros for the box without the feature films is no bargain either. I've ordered it and can at least write an impression here when the box arrives in April. Then you won't be buying a pig in a poke if you're reliant on other soundtracks.

I have just received an answer from Plaion: all saisons will have english subtitles.
