Don't miss features and archives - awesome!
Today is my 7th year anniversary of being a member here at rdanderson.com.
Seven lovely years to explore this fantastic website and enjoy meeting wonderful fellow fans of Richard Dean Anderson here.
Just recently I have "discovered" or "rediscovered" the amazing articles and interviews that Kate has for us here in this treasurehouse of RDA fandom.
In case others have not explored these enjoyable parts of this website, I am starting a thread on which to post links to some of these excellent places to explore.
First - if you haven't gone here - a great place to go is to the ARCHIVES section of the website: http://rdanderson.com/archives/index.htm
Articles about RDA from 1967 to 2017 are there. Take some time and browse through these items. People can post on this thread links to ones they especially like.
One recent favorite article is by Kate - called "A Life Well Lived" = from 2013.

Another incredible section of this website that you may not have seen or read recently is the FEATURES sections which are located under the MacGyver section and then again under the Stargate section of this website.
Under the MacGyver FEATURES section is this article: by Kate Ritter who was there "On the set" and who wrote this article.
http://rdanderson.com/macgyver/features ... et1990.htm - On the Set of MacGyver - Behind the Scenes of "The Gun" August 16-17, 1990.
This article - enhanced by many great photos - is so full of details about how the production of such an episode developed.....it just tremendously informative and enjoyable reading.

For Stargate RDA fans, who can never get enough facts and stories about him on this beloved series, the FEATURES section under Stargate (on this website's home page) will keep you entertained for a long period of time.
The Stargate Features section includes 35 articles mostly INTERVIEWS that Kate did with the cast and crew members of the Stargate production.
If you have ever been curious about RDA and/or his fellow cast members or production crew members - this is the place to go to quench that thirst for information.
http://rdanderson.com/stargate/features/index.htm is the link to this section of the website - which has now become a favorite place to go for reading about RDA and all that was involved with Stargate.
Some examples of interviews by Kate that I dearly love include:
http://rdanderson.com/stargate/features ... amanda.htm - "I'M OVER THE MOON AT THE LIFE THAT I HAVE RIGHT NOW"
An Interview With Stargate's Major Carter, Amanda Tapping
and
http://rdanderson.com/stargate/features ... 07-rda.htm - THE ROAD AHEAD
An Interview with Stargate's Colonel O'Neill, Richard Dean Anderson

http://rdanderson.com/stargate/features ... -corin.htm
STEPPING INTO A NEW ADVENTURE
An Interview With Stargate's Newest Member, Corin Nemec
Lots of good info there. Did you know for instance that Corin Nemec was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, moved to Tennessee and then to Atlanta, Gerogia?

Another great Interview by Kate - posted in the FEATURES section of the Stargate section - is with Christopher Judge....
http://rdanderson.com/stargate/features ... -chris.htm
"I JUST WANT TO STAY ON THE PEAK AS LONG AS I CAN!"
An Interview With Stargate's Teal'c, Christopher Judge
Can you guess what question Christopher would ask Brad at the start of every year?
"But at the beginning of every year, and after every hiatus, I go in to Brad, and I go, 'Hey, Brad, what about...' and he'll just go, 'Nope!' "

I’ve been through the Archives several times. Lots of great reads. I think the very first one about his bicycle trip through Canada is interesting. There were so many differences then from now. I am a contemporary, so that was my time, too. A lot of kids did some “sightseeing” around the country. Here’s the link to the article;

Thanks for that link and the article, GWhite.
For some reason, I had skipped over that one in the Archives.
Yes, I lived through that era also. Things were different for sure!

There are so many good articles about RDA in the Archives section.
ONe is from his MacGyver days....RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON: STRONG, SILENT & MYSTERIOUS http://rdanderson.com/archives/articles/1987-04-00.htm
That article names MacGyver "Stace Macgyver"......Where that came from no one knows.....

It was in the original pilot script, which was shot as a 90-minute episode before it was drastically edited down and rearranged. The theory (not sure if it was ever confirmed for sure) was that it was an homage to Henry Winkler's wife.bftlovesRDA wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:41 am There are so many good articles about RDA in the Archives section.
