Who do you guys think the scariest Goa'uld is in the series and why did you choose that character? For me, Nirrti is the most menacing because of her diabolical experiments on other life forms. She reminds me of one of those twisted Nazi scientists who performed human experiments during WWII. To me, there is nothing more vicious than that.
Who gets your vote?
Scariest Goa'uld?

So...no takers, huh?
Man, I'm sad.

Re: Scariest Goa'uld?
CMac, I'm working my way through the Stargate DVDs. I'm only up to part way through Season 2, so Apophis is the only Goa'uld I'm really familiar with. I'll post here when I get further along in the series.

Hathor has to be right up there. She controlled the minds of all of the men of the SGC with the exception of Teal'c and would have implanted them all if not stopped by Teal'c and the women.

That's right! I forgot about her.Hathor has to be right up there. She controlled the minds of all of the men of the SGC with the exception of Teal'c and would have implanted them all if not stopped by Teal'c and the women.

You guys know I was kidding, right? It takes a while to think about this one, I'm sure - especially if you haven't watched Stargate in a while.
I'm still sticking with Nirrti for my vote on this one. Her stealth capability is really terrifying, and the actress who plays her looks exceptionally mean.

Well Cmac, I just wanted to make sure to boost your mood a little. No sadness allowed.

Re: Scariest Goa'uld?
I had to think a little about the question.
Spoiler alarm for those, who haven't watched Stargate completely. So if you don't want to know....please stop reading RIGHT HERE!
Hathor, Nirrti and Sokar were good candidates, but in the end for me I think Anubis was the scariest Goa'uld.
He had no real body, so he could not be killed as easily as the others and was able to overtake a host body with no chance for the victim to prevent it. When he had a host, the host would die certainly after short time and he went on to the next.
He had some knowledge of the ancients (and used technology from them (e.g. the mind probe) and he developed the super soldiers, who were nearly invincible. He was the most evil of all of the Goa'ulds. He gave the word "evil" a complete new meaning in my opinion. He wanted to destroy all life in the galaxy (including the other Goa'ulds) and create new life like he wanted it to be. Much worse than all the others.
Only Oma was able to stop him, but not by defeating him, but by fighting him for all eternity. That was really creepy.
So Anubis is for me my number one scariest Goa'uld.

Re: Scariest Goa'uld?
I concur, NiLa, Anubis was the most scariest Goa'uld.
And he was the most dangerous because he was half the way to be ascended.
But the Goa'uld I hate the most was and always will be Baal for what he did to Jack.
I hate that being with a deep passion. Good for him that he's already dead otherwise I would have torn him into a million pieces!

Re: Scariest Goa'uld?
That is right Caty. I think, what Baal did to Jack was the cruelest thing imanigable. What I love about Jack was the way he dealt with the situation. Such a strength to stand up against his enemy and the deep belief to protect his people (even if he didn't know the woman at that time) until to the point of breaking. I was so glad that he escaped in the end.
And I love the way he dealt with Baal later during the story arc....never gave the bastard an inch! Absolutely great!
