I am actually thrilled by this prospect. This may sound like a stupid question, but how many of you want him to return as Mac?
If he does, it should definitely be his own show and his own creative vehicle where he can make decisions. Possibly, he could convince Michael Greenburg to be involved again. Wouldn't that be cool? I don't think he should have anything to do with the reboot--he should just be MacGyver on his own.
That being said, what do you think would happen if he came back as an older MacGyver? Would audiences still embrace him? I know I would and all of you would, but that's because we love RDA and we have open minds. What would happen to the reboot? Would RDA's Mac eclipse the reboot in popularity? Could there be potential legal issues to RDA doing his own version of MacGyver?
I don't know. These are all hypotheticals. I'm just curious what everyone thinks out there.
RDA Reprising the MacGyver Role
Re: RDA Reprising the MacGyver Role
Like I wrote already in another thread,
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN AS MACGYWER!!
There will be no future for the reboot, if RDA comes back. Of that I'm sure.
