:D

Can we continue to tell about this project on the other topic "love and encouragement for RDA"?
It will be better?
Are you agree with me? ;)

So I will not have been particularly helpful.

Good night at all :)

It's really not all that complicated. :)

Before I left this morning, I sent emails to the three people who volunteered to collect cards. I wanted to be sure that you understood that you were volunteering to give out your home mailing address to strangers, and that you were okay with that. (Since then tvero has volunteered, so the question is for all four of you.)

I didn't want to send out a notice with your names and emails if you weren't comfortable with giving out your address. I didn't actually get an answer back from any of you (!) but the discussion seems to have continued here.

When we have done this in the past, people from around the world sent their cards to my P.O. box, and I sent them to RDA. I can do that again, but people were excited to find a way to get involved, and I thought it might make it easier for some fans to mail cards to someone in/near their own country instead of sending to the US. So, I welcomed the volunteers. Besides, as each volunteer sends a packet of cards they have collected, RDA will receive them in little groups on different days - something to look forward to. :)

Each person should sign their card with their name and country so RDA can see how far away the cards have traveled.

It doesn't have to be any more complicated than that. :)

If all four volunteers are okay with giving out their home address to anyone who contacts them, then I will go ahead and draft an email to explain, and anyone is welcome to pass it on to other RDA fan groups.

Basically, if you want to send a card to RDA, buy/make a greeting card, write your message, and sign it with your name and country. Then choose any one of the volunteers that is convenient for you and email them to ask for their address to mail your card. When each volunteer has gathered a collection, they can send the cards to me, and I will forward them.

Does that help?

Yes, I was hoping that you would be willing to do that. A few cards in an envelope should not be too expensive. But if that will be difficult, let me know.

Thanks,

Thank you, Kate - yes, that does help - a lot. I give you my permission to give out my personal email address (that I gave you earlier today) to anyone who wants to send me their cards for RDA. I am focused on the people here in the US and and Canada and in Australia and New Zealand - but I will be glad to hear back from those in other countries also.

Once I hear back from these people on my personal email, I will send them my HOME POSTAL ADDRESS so they can send me their card which they should sign and put their country on the card. I will collect the CARDS sent to me (not the envelopes) and put them in a large envelope and send the large envelope with the cards inside to you to forward to RDA. As you say, this will get the cards sent in "bunches" which will be nice for him to read - in groups.

That is the plan. If you need me to send you my email address again, please just send me a PM. Otherwise, again, thank GOD you are back online!
