and yes, I used to watch him play football for the Bears, headed for the Hall of Fame! So, I may be right this time with the guess of

(Another funny thing about Dick Butkus on MacGyver is that he took Richard Dent's last name for his roles
They were both Bears in Chicago
Richard Dent did make it to the Hall of Fame in 2011)
