All Stargate Shows

Post by cheryleneedham » Wed Aug 16, 2017 7:43 pm

I recently got HULU and watched all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1. Loved it of course. Was hard to adjust to Jack not being on as much but was still good. There was disappointment there was not a wedding to end the series.

Also got dvd of Continuum which I watched and liked and just got Ark of Truth which I haven't yet.

I'm almost done with Stargate Atlantis season 2. While the favorite people of SG1 arent on here much ( I see they will in upcoming episodes) it is very very good. The 3 part The Siege was exciting and had me up til 3am watching them all.

I started Stargate Universe but switched to Atlantis instead.

Also in and SG1 episode and Atlantis the term "MacGyver it" was said. Made me laugh.....

Any opinions ?

I know the original post on this thread is somewhat old....but I am responding anyway.

I think it's great that many people still love Stargate after all these years. I do too.

I recently re-purchased seasons 1-8 of Stargate because I had lost all my original copies of the individual seasons when I moved.

One of my greatest disappointments is that they did not do another Stargate movie. I read that it was supposed to be Jack-centric. So very sad that was not done.

Am viewing season 6 right now and it has become one of my favorite seasons.

Wonder what season others like the most.

Yep I am a HUGE Stargate fan,and have to agree that it was a real shame that the third film was never made, apparently it would have made shippers very happy 8-) . For any one who is interested there is a big push from Joseph Mallozzi to hopefully get a NEW in canon series up and running, there will be a Tweet storm on Friday 9 march North American fans and Saturday 10 for international fans. All information can be found @StargateNow and @StargateNow_EU well worth joining in. As for my favourite season, it has to be 4 followed by 8,even though Jack wasn't in it as much, there were some really good scenes. Stargate and Legend ... my all time Happy Place 8-)

Hi, gone-fishing. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for chiming in - and for telling us about the tweet storm on March 9 (for US fans) and on March 10 (for EU fans). I don't do twitter so I don't think I will be participating in this - but if it means we could possibly get a NEW Stargate going - with RDA in it - that would be worth the effort to find out how to tweet.

So, you like seasons 4 and 8. I forgot about Season 4 - yes, I LOVE that season also: mainly because it has Upgrades, Divide and Conquer, Window of Opportunity, Tangent, 2010, Prodigy, and Entity. There are more good ones but those are the episodes I love in Season 4.

In Season 8, I like New Order, Lockdown, Zero Hour, Citizen Joe, Threads, and Moebius.

So, you picked two great seasons for your favs.

I like Season 6 because of: Frozen, Abyss, Allegiance, Sight Unseen, Smoke and Mirrors, and Paradise Lost.

But I really like Season 4 also, now that I think about it.

Thanks for your comments.

Thank you for the welcome bftlovesRDA , it looks like we have similar likes on episodes, I wonder why ;)

I'm not a big twitter fan ,but as you said ,if there is the slightest chance of even a mention of RDA in the new series ,it would be worth it,so I will be up at 03:00 CET on Saturday morning and again at 8pm CET Saturday evening to do my bit

The first Tweet Storm #StargateRising was awesome, intended for North American fans due to the time 3am CET ,France and the UK were amazing trending at #1 ,with Canada and USA trending at #2 and it trended #8 in the whole World, which is awesome.
The numbers were fantastic, so lets just hope this evening goes as well too, then who knows?
There were some familiar faces popping in for a tweet, including Amanda Tapping,Micheal Shanks,Chris judge ,David Hewlett and many many more. I have to say it was well worth getting up for. It has really been a pleasure to mix and Tweet with the famous faces and the fans, just a shame "The man himself" no longer uses Twitter,I think he would have blown the Storm away.

With this renewed interest in Stargate, I'm tempted to ask (though I should probably eventually post this in the "Trading Post" section)...

Way back when, when I was working on the Lexicon version for MGM that would become the Ultimate Guide, the SG-1 DVDs were being released in the UK before they were released here. So, in order to get quality video captures, I had to buy the UK DVDs, and then get a region-free DVD player that would work with my computer (not easy to do over here). Later, of course, I bought the US DVDs, and so I have these complete region 2 sets that I no longer need. Now, some of the "extras" on the DVDs are different between region 1 and region 2, and so once I finally get back to updating the Video Gallery, I need to try to capture the (usually better) UK versions.

But then, I wonder, is there anyone who would be interested in having the UK region-2 discs?

For that matter, would anyone be interested in my extra (fully complete and mint condition) sets of SG-1 trading cards?

Just feeling out interest, since I have some work to do before I find them a home. But eventually they will probably appear in the Trading Post here and on eBay.
