I guess now is as good a time as any to say that I have been "sneaking" around the website for a pretty good while now (I hope nobody minds me posting this explanation here!).

It just takes me a while to go ahead and make a decision. In this case that would be the decision to join this forum.
I really love MacGyver (I don't think anyone has noticed that yet... ), and I am enthusiastic about just sharing that. I found the website through trying to find out more about Richard Dean Anderson, and I was impressed. I want to congratulate y'all because it seems that you are always nice and welcoming on this forum, and I think that is great.
So while I do know my way around the website, I still feel like a newbie and I am a bit hesitant about posting!
Oh yeah, if I ever post something incorrect or whatever, please tell me. Like I said, I am new to this! However, I do know that y'all will probably help me with any questions I have!

Welcome, MacGyver85. This is perhaps a good time to welcome the other new and recent members here, too. Please don't hesitate to jump in and post.

I think you'll find that this forum is relatively unique in that it doesn't have a list of rules and regulations. We've been here a very long time, and I've found that when people are welcoming and friendly it is not necessary to legislate possible problems. New members will find that your first posts are usually monitored so that I can remove the spambots selling drugs and porn (incredibly, they do try!), but once it's clear you're "one of us" you are welcome to post freely.

Very very rarely have I had to step in with a gentle reminder (like when a thread begins leaning to an angry political debate, or when someone tries to share personal information about RDA such as a home address), but I hope that visitors here are not afraid to post and are not worried about doing something "wrong."

In fact, it's been very quiet here recently, so it's lovely to see new faces joining in!
