I don't know since I'm not there (I'm just finding the photos, directing you to them, and then telling you who they belong to if I know). Near as I can tell it was taken during the opening ceremony. As to what Michael is doing...have no clue why his back is turned. Maybe he did it for a moment and that's when the picture was taken. Michelle

Michelle - thank you for the link to the Instagram photos of FedCon 2014. You are so right - there are a TON of photos...I have chosen just a few to post here. I hope this is not breaking any rules. All are to be found at the link you posted and they must be credited to the people who posted them on Instagram - I did not manage to post the names of the photo takers.
