Just a little update...

I finished the email last night with all the links and charity ecards and such, and I sent it to RDA at about midnight as I was going to bed, so still a few hours early in his time zone. He texted back almost immediately with a very happy-sounding thank you saying "YOU are my FIRST!"

I waited to see if he had anything to say after looking through the messages, but a few hours later I got a message saying that he was awake most of the night trying to guard against flooding during the heavy rains. He was heading to bed and would reward himself with birthday messages later in the afternoon.

So I'll wait a bit more before posting anything. And send "dry" thoughts his way. :shock:

THANK YOU KATE for this latest update. Just finished my birthday message to Rick and sent it, hoping he will get to read it, as well as all the rest he will receive from LOTS of fans. Hope he had a good night sleep last night, after the awakeness, due to heavy rains, and that he enjoys already a sunny and relaxing day. Hoping the weather won't mess up his special day.
