It was funny, I was eating dinner last night and a group walked in and sat two tables away. I said, hey, that's Paul Brown.... My mother who was trying to stay on top of the "names" that were attending the con, didn't understand so I explained the connection. I forgot Paul would have gone along and had the Legends booth. There was a get well card for fans to sign so I did (even though I sent one already). They filled RDA's spot with Bruce Boxleiter, I didn't even get to see him. Other folks were John Schneider, Catherine Bach, and Tom Wopat (the Dukes of Hazzard) so being a child of the 80's, I had my photo taken with them instead of the planned RDA. :( It was fun overall and I hope RDA heals and they can get him there for spring or next fall. Was my first comic con so the costumes were interesting and there was several 60's music bands (Peter Tork, Bobby Hart, Gary DeCarlo, Lov'in Spoonfuls, etc) for a festival that was great fun Sat night.
We received SG-1 Megafest patches for attending, sadly because we got money back for the RDA experience, we were not able to get the RDA print and gift I was looking forward to but that's ok, hopefully they will keep them for when he does come. ;)
Hey there = thank you for recounting your experience at the Super Megafest. It sounds like fun, although we know it would have been lots more fun if RDA had been there. I'm glad they had a card there for everyone to sign!

Thanks again for sharing your experience!

GREAT to see these cards come in. Look forward to many more.

Keep the card-a-thon going!
Last week I mailed the first batch of 50 online messages. Then a few days later, I mailed the second batch of 50 messages.

Today the cards started coming into the mailbox. Just FYI, in the "state competition" - so far Illinois is leading. ;)

I'll probably mail the cards in packets of 20 or 25, just to give him something to look forward to for a few weeks. :)

Continue to spread the word! :)

Thank you Kate for your good information...

Sendings are "shy" enough here :?
But we keep confidence...

THANKS, Kate, for sending the online messages in batches as you have done. I do hope he can read all of them - or have Wylie or someone read them to him!

And I hope the cards will start to "flow" in now so we can add to your batch numbers - and get them up to 20 or 25. I have faith that the cards will come in today to my house and they will come in to Frenchwriter's and JackGywer's homes as well. It will take awhile to get these all to you but as you say, he will be getting cards over a time period so that should lift his spirits for a few weeks.

PASS THE WORD TO ALL - KEEP THOSE CARDS COMING IN!
