By all means, do whatever works for you. You can still send through the Fan Mail as well.

I looked into options, and it does seem possible, so I will put together an announcement for fans who would like to send an actual snail mail card. Thank you for the many offers as collection points, but given the short time frame it doesn't seem to make sense to have cards mailed twice. Today I rented a post office box which I will keep active only for a month. Please send only cards - the box isn't big enough for gifts!

I'll post the address on the Updates page so that it can be deleted after his birthday. Then you can begin mailing immediately!

Actually, you can use my full name, and probably just "Kate" would work, but I didn't know how far this message would spread over social media so I hesitated using a full name and address online.

I probably should have included the name "Richard Dean Anderson" on the mailbox, but I didn't do that on the application, so I don't know if there might be a problem addressing the card to him. But as long as you send it to any version of MY name, it should reach me easily.

I shared the message in all of my Facebook groups and was also asked if the name was correct. Since it is a rented mailbox address, that will not necessarily play a major role, I suspect. At least the news is among fans and will hopefully continue to spread. I wish him a lot of mail on his special day

In the meantime, my project has become a real challenge. I have found a way to do it and everything will be handmade. I look forward to it.
Kate, what's the maximum envelope size?
It will definitely be slightly larger than a standard letter size.

I'm still not sure what it is you are making.

I knew that the smallest mailbox size (for business envelopes) would not be big enough, so I rented the next size: 5" x5".
