Hi Lily, I made mine fit through the program Paint and adjusted the pixels.. should be 90 by 90 pixels if I'm correct or 10 kb.. did you tried that already?

I don't know if Kate has time to do it now, but four years ago, she made my avatar for me......maybe she can help you, Lilly.

I can probably compress something for you if you are getting errors for size. I don't recall right now what the required dimensions are, but usually a small square image will do.

Hi Lilly, the problem is, that most pictures are too big for uploading them directly. I made my avatar that way:

I took a picture, copied it in windows paint, cut it there and saved it as jpg on my Computer. After that it was small enough to be uploaded as an avatar.

Maybe you have to try a few times, I didn't get it small enough in the first attempt.

I'm bringing this thread up because I was approached to explain how to create / upload an avatar.
Either you take an image processing program and compress the image yourself or you use an online editor with an avatar creation function, like http://de.phixr.com/photo/userindex.
The photo should not exceed the dimensions 90 x 90 , a square.
Save the picture and upload it as an avatar in your profile.
If that doesn't help, I'm happy to help and create an avatar for you.
