Favorite Songs/Singer/Band/ MUSIC!

Post by Mac/Jack#1fan »

Over on "A Fact About Your" a lot of us started talking about music, and singers we like. So I thought maybe it would be fun to start a thread where we can all share clips of our favorite music videos, concert footage, favorite songs...ect! :D

I am a HUGE lover of music :D My favorite kinds of music are rap, pop, and rock. My favorite genrea of music is rap, I really like Eminem. I'm not going to share any Eminem clips here though, he's not everyone's favorite. You either like him, or you don't.

My all time favorite singer is Elton John! I have always loved his songs, his voice, I just think he's the greatest. Here is a clip of his song "Crocodile Rock" :) Its a video of him playing solo. I think he has amazing talent, and I like his solo performances :D

Michael Jackson my favorite pop artist :) He's REALLY AMAZING! His dancing just...blows me away! This is my favorite concert clip of MJ, singing and dancing to "Smooth Criminal". I LOVE the moonwalk, I wish I could do it. My sister can, and she's good at it ;)

When it comes to Bon Jovi, my favorite song is "Runaway" I don't know why, but the first time I heard that song, it just stuck with me and I just really like it. :) Here's the music video-

I just love MTV, and watching the 80's music videos. :D Anyone else have any clips or videos that are their favorite that they want to share? :D I have more favorites, but I'll share some more some other time. Its impossible the share them all right now ;)

Good thread Mac/Jack, I like it. :D

Thank you for Runaway. I haven't seen it in years. Anyway my favourite is In These Arms http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59NoqP02ZYM :D

I don't know many songs of Elton John, the only one that comes to my mind is Nikita http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLet_aHMHbM ;)

I'm not a fan of Michael Jackson, but I know he wrote We Are The World http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoDY8ce_3zk , great song :)

I could add others, but it's enough for the moment. Now it's MacGyver time. Actually I'm very late, almost midnight here and my clock will ring at 6.30.

See you tomorrow. :D

My favourite kind of music is folk music, especially Irish. My favourite bands are Steeleye Span, Pint & Dale, the Chieftains, the Kingston Trio, plus some classic rock groups including Renaissance and the Beatles -- my favourite albums include Jethro Tull's "Songs From the Wood" and Jefferson Airplane's "Sunfighter".

Mostly, I listen to folk. I play guitar and bodhran and sing, although not so much these days. Too busy!

Just wondering, do you like Celtic Irish music too? I have a love for Celtic (I love, just about every style of music) ;) Celtic is, well, a variation of folk music. :D I ask because I know some people who love folk music, but never really got into Celtic. I love for Celtic because I have 3 sisters that play Celtic music. :) One plays the violin, the other plays the guitar, and the other plays the cello.

I'm not very talented it music, but I do play the guitar a bit, and I can play some piano (thanks to Elton for inspiring me with that lol) Wow, you play the bodhran! So cool! :D

Irish folk music is Celtic music, Ireland having been one of the seven "Celtic Nations". I also love other types of Celtic music, especially Scottish music and Galician pipes (Carlos Nunez is the BEST). The music I do personally is mostly traditional English folk music -- ballads, lyric, pastorals, etc.

I grew up listening to the big bands and singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Rock and roll was next with Bill Haley and the Comets, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. I was 13 when the Beatles and the British Invasion hit and that opened up a whole new world. I was also in the school band at that time and was introduced to the classics. I managed to survive "Bubble Gum" music (Yummy, yummy, yummy I've got love in my tummy) and Disco (That's the way I like it, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh). Now I'm a fan of almost all types of music, with maybe the exception of some heavy metal and rap. My all time favorites are Ella, Neil Diamond, Jane Olivor, and, of course, the Beatles.
If you can't say anything nice.....

At least! You like Neil Diamond! Most people I know doesn't even know him!
He is my favourite since the end of the sixties (last century ;) ). Not only the old songs, I also like the new stuff.

But I like a lot of music, it only has to be melodic. I like oldies like Frank Sinatra, Bill Haley, Andy Williams, even coutry music and I like new songs. I like Metallica, Brian Adams, Bruce Springsteen and yes, Elton John is also o.k.
And I like classic music like Verdi, Beethoven, Mozart and Puccini. I like opera and musical, new and old but i don't like rap and I definitely hate what they call german folk music like yodelling 8-)
