I second that :)

I like this thread.... all the facts about the people here.... its great :)

Some more about me....

I like to travel, when I have the money and I can get time off from work. So far I've been to New York city and Orlando Florida. Those 2 places are the 2 that I spent the most time in... but I've been to Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut.... all of the surrounding states and all the ones straight down to FL. I want to make it to Kentucky one of these days, to visit a friend, and I'd like to visit California, and Minnesota. And lots more places too, but those are the major places I want to go.

:D

Wow, how many places you've been! I like to travel too. :D I've already been to some places here in Europe and also in California and Las Vegas, but I'd like to go to New York (after they'll complete to build ground zero), Canada (mainly Vancouver) and Australia. Hopefully... :D

Let's see, travels -- I'm very fortunate; my family loved long car trips, and so do I, so I've been to most of the United States (40 out of 50), five Canadian provinces (although BC is the only one I've visited more than once), and five European countries. At this point, I have not been to Alaska, Hawai'i, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, South Carolina or Louisiana; and I've only been to Minnesota as an airport stopover. Sorry, Jack.

When we retire, I want to do a lot more traveling, while I still can! So much to see, and see again . . .

It's no big deal, really. It was a very interesting experience and one I don't regret. The mentality gave me insights into SG-1 and why, for instance, Jack and Sam never broke the rules (although in my cannon they totally were lovers during "Beneath the Surface") and made me fine with Jack getting reassigned after season 8 (in the real AF assignments didn't last nearly as long as the show had them together).

Travels...

I've been to Italy several times(Rome,Venice,Naples,Sicily...)to Greece,to Spain, to Malta,to Hungary,to the Czech Republic,to Germany several times,to Norway, to Sweden.

I've been to the United States several times too (East Coast ,Louisiana,Kentucky ,Mississippi,Texas,Illinois,West Coast + national parks,Colorado,Wyoming ,Utah,South Dakota):those were guided tours so we travelled a lot in a short spell of time.

Last but not least I've been to Canada but only Quebec (twice) and I'd love to go to Vancouver and British Columbia (to see the locations of MacGyver /Stargate if I can ...)

This summer I'll go to Great Britain (a sort of 'Grand Tour' with a few days in London).

I love travelling :)

That's a great list, VĂ©ronique! I envy you having seen so much of Europe. I'll get there one of these days.

British Columbia is truly wonderful, and location-hunting is fun. Vancouver is one of my all-time favourite cities, still.

Michelle, thanks for telling us that! My friend Emma, who introduced me to Stargate, is also former USAF. She said much the same thing about Sam and Jack: much as we loved shipping them, it would be unacceptably OOC for them to have actually violated the rules. "So that's what fanfic is for!"

WOW! Beth, you've seen a lot of the USA! I hope to make it to that many states. So far I've been to 15. I've never been out of the county before, but there are places that I'd like to visit, like England :D

So you've been to Vermont I take it (Vt wasn't in your list of "not visited" states" ;) What parts of Vt did you visit? :D

So far, I've only passed through Vermont on the way from Pennsylvania, where my father's parents lived, to New Hampshire and Maine, where my mother's family were. I think we just cut through the south tip -- Bennington to Brattleboro. It's high on my list of states to visit properly: I have a dear online friend who lives there whom I've never met in person.

My wife has never been to New England at all, and I love the area so much, so we're determined to get a proper trip there sometime in the next few years. (I also have an important task to finish there, which is to scatter my parents' ashes.)
