Hey everybody,

I'm born on december 8th 1978
I love cats and dogs. I share my life with my cat Loki (who's named after the Noors god of misschief)
I have a life partner with a fysical disability and a pervasive developemental disorder. We share or developemental disorder and understand what it does to our lifes.
My friends call me Rose but that's not my official name. I was given a boysname but I'm 100% a woman. I don't like my name very much.
I'm part of a special needs swimteam in my hometown. We don't do competition.
I love knitting, reading english books, fixing things, needlepoint and crochet.
And watching my stargate and MacGyver dvdcollection.
I saw MacGyver for the first time on tv when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I learned english watching the series and most of my english teachers complained about my nasty american accent. No offence to the americans on this forum, I still have my american accent.
Richard's been my rolemodel all through childhood into adulthood and he still is. Can't wait to meet him and thank him for teaching me english and to use my brains to solve problems.

My name is Beth. I make g-suits for the USAF for a living. If you don't know what a g-suit is, it's the pressurized pants that fighter pilots wear to keep them from becoming anoxic and passing out when flying. I have met a few of the people who have guest starred on MacGyver. I met and spoke at quite length to Richard Hatch (Three for the Road) and Gary Lockwood (Mask of the Wolf) at sci-fi conventions and as a child I attended the same church as Nancy Everhard (Log Jam) (we grew up in the same town). I also spent some time one summer during high school attending a language arts program at Ohio University where RDA attended for some of his college days. I have two children ages 24 and 25 and a grandson 8.

You actually misread the statement. I have not met RDA but have met several people that he has worked with and spent time on the same campus where he went to college. I was on campus in 1980 which was well after his time there.

I'll tell you a fact about me: I lost my health care. That's not political, it's personal.
Health care might be politically oriented for whatever reason they've decided to MAKE it that way but before January 25 I had health care that I could get no other way, and I don't think it was wrong to have it.
I work in health care but only part-time. If I could manage full-time I wouldn't have lost my current health care.
Oh well. I find things to be grateful for all the time but it's hard to keep it up when something major occurs. Even though I think of things to be grateful for on a daily basis sometimes something comes along and knocks the wind out of your sails.
I'm grateful I watched that show 'The Birthday Party.' Before I did I didn't even know that people stayed in Vietnam voluntarily to help them at the end of the war. I'm deeply involved w/ a Vietnam Veteran but I still didn't know it.
