Are anxiety attacks different from true thoughts and feelings? :(

Dear Friends

Thank you so very much for helping me... my dad is dying, since May my dad has been in and out of perth hospitals 8 times. Three times in one month. He has end stage COPD, his lung capacity dropped from 50% to 29% in 10 weeks. Advanced chronic heart failure, aortic aneurysm which could burst at any time. GERD, and Tachycardia and Enlarged Prostate.... worst part is watching him suffer. And on top of that my dear dog is dying too..

Had a hard enough time losing my Mum to cancer and her passing has left such a massive hole in my life. i could go to her and talk to her about anything.. she would settle my fears and my worries.. and how she did it, i'll never know. That was her magic. At this time of year we're heading in to Christmas Mum and i usually baking cakes, tarts... house was so warm with the smells of cinnamon, ginger and all spice. Putting up the decorations and listening to Jim Reeves, Harry Secombe... Bing Cosby .. Andre Rieu?... .. sending of cards and letters to everyone.. just exciting...

but now she is not here and i dont know if should bake a cake or make some tarts.. biscuits...

Hello fellow humanoids

Weight loss is going well... after me Dr's visit, gone and lost another 5kgs... now weigh 160kg and total loss 18 kg.

diet consists of not eating very much and loads of stress and anxiety and pushing the lawn mower about...

drinking loads of diet coke, water and milk helps too.

PS bad Chinese can cause major league tummy upsets.

I'm from America. I had to look up what 178 kg was in pounds. I got rid of an 'In Case of Emergency' thing on my phone because it insisted I tell them how many kilograms I weigh and then my height in meters. I got tired of looking everything up. Why don't they use one in feet and inches. I had no idea I was only 1.5 meters tall and what emergency service in America's going to know what that is without looking it up first? I work in Emergency Medicine, the one thing you DONT' want to do is have to spend time looking up information during an emergency. Time is one of the two most important factors in saving a person's life. They don't want you stopping for 5 seconds to look up information. Seconds matter in emergencies.
I'm not used to weight being applied in kgs. But I'm more familiar with that than height by meters. They do medication amts in grams or milligrams so I'm more used to weight being applied that way.
I hope I don't sound like I'm talking too much.

Hey, EMTP513, I don't think you're 1,5 meters tall because that would mean you are only 3 ft and 5 inches. Unless you are really very tiny, maybe there's something wrong with what you typed in?

As for height and weight in cm/m or kg... I guess when you are in the US no one has an issue with that since everyone there does inch and feet, but the rest of the world is actually using the metric system :) The US is maybe the only country who has stopped using the metric system, though I'm not 100 percent positive on that.
