And I got a real cool birthday present this year from my partner - a helicopter flight!

I planned on doing this as kind of "research" for my fanfiction writing - to better understand the feel and technical/practical possibilities I am writing about - or was writing about.

I got to know that the boyfriend of a co-worker of mine is a certified pilot - and I managed to book a Bell Jet Ranger (about the same helicopter as in "Lost Love"). The Bell Long Ranger is similar but has two rows of seats in the back (seen in "Ghost Ship").
And what shall I say - as soon as I had my fear of heights under control it was so much fun. Amazing how the bird tilts sidways when it goes into a quick turn and all of a sudden there´s only sky visible through the SIDE window! The feeling is thrilling once you get used how it moves!
