Re: Website Upgrade
Seriously, can we not have a month without drama?!? So now everything seems to be working fine, but the spambots are at it again. In the last couple of hours I've had over a dozen spammers trying to register on the Forum. I've deleted them all before they could be registered, but it's getting...

Re: Website Upgrade
I'm very grateful to be able to announce that I seem to have defeated Google. After a month, they removed the block (still with no explanation), my host did countless adjustments to my settings while I tested a new system, and FINALLY yesterday I was able to send out the latest Update without a prob...

Re: GalaxyCon Richmond March 16-17
I'm not seeing anything for #7 either. They said they would probably announce within the next 10 days -- and that was 20 days ago. I don't know if this means there has been a change?

Re: Thank you, Kate and Rick !
So is it better for his birthday to send a fan mail rather than post here in the forum ? Or should we do both ?? He reads the fan mail after all ??? I'm a little confused ... I don't think he has ever visited the Forum. He has access to the Fan Mail messages, and yes, he visits there, but mind you ...

No reaction to the lastest convention announcement?
People have been waiting for an East Coast venue.

Re: Website Upgrade
That worries you maybe that some are getting it later than others? No, it worries me that I would have to spend a whole day sending out emails. The machine wouldn't do the work - I wouldn't be able to use the mailing list program because it is set to send out all or nothing. I would have to manuall...

Re: Website Upgrade
Google reacts on "sudden" big bulks but not in many smaller bulks of 300 email addresses within an hour. Fingers crossed if you find a solution. I've considered that, but at that rate it would take me 10 hours to send out all the updates. I've also considered using a service like Bravenet...

Re: Website Upgrade
So here is an update... of sorts... I tried sending another test email to jp from rdanderson.com to gmail, and incredibly it went through! That's the good news. The bad news is that I never got a response from gmail, there is no way to know what triggered the problem, and since it has been exactly o...

Re: RDA what does it stand for?
Seven???!!! :o SEVEN conventions and writing his memoir, too???!!! WOW! :D :D :D I'd take that "writing his memoir" with a grain of salt. He's been saying for at least 20 years that he would LIKE to put together some thoughts for Wylie, but he hasn't really made a start. I've tried to enc...

Re: RDA what does it stand for?
So if RDA is doing 8 (eight??!!!) :o :P :P conventions this year Seven... so far. I'm surprised how hard it is to get a response from these conventions when I ask them when they will be announcing. You'd think they'd want to coordinate so that we don't have these problems with premature screw-ups. ...
