Going to Gatecon will still be a little "pricey" for me, but less than traveling to the UK for MTM2. There are a lot of guests scheduled for Gatecon that I'd like to see again (I need to retake some photo ops with the "new" me).

For those of you that may be interested here is the ticket information for next year's Gatecon. The con is going to be held in Vancouver September 14 - 16 2018. Tickets will go on sale Saturday August 26, 2018 at 8PM GMT.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the final details are. But, if it should be a access, maybe it will bring back a Stargate convention to Chicago.
