Re: Website Redesign

Thanks for the feedback. Only a few people responded, although it looks like a couple hundred checked out the sample link, and no one has reported any problems. The stats show a lot of "partial downloads." I'm hoping this does not indicate errors in loading but instead means that people checking the...

Re: Website Redesign

I'm still working on a solution for the Video Gallery. I think the "lightbox" feature (where the video "pops out" and opens on a black background overlay) is the main cause of the problem because the page has to basically load previews of all the videos. That not only slows down the loading of the p...

Re: Website Redesign

The Chat Room and Fan Mail should be working again. But I have to find a better solution for this site or I won't be able to maintain it. The first step is to find a host for the videos that won't lock up and won't add to my bandwidth. So I've started exploring YouTube again, although it's not ideal...

Re: Website Redesign

The Board Index button is working, but yes, the Chat Room is now down, as is the Fan Mail. I have informed my web host of the problems, but they have recently instituted a new procedure that charges me $150 every time they fix something, even when the problem was caused by THEIR update. It may be ne...

Re: Website Redesign

Yes, I know the Forum was down this morning. Actually, the whole site was down briefly last night as my ISP conducted a required upgrade. And that always screws up the Forum. This is a test to check if it is (hopefully) working again. But I may need to (once again) trash the whole thing and find a b...

Re: Wales Comic Con on April 27/28, 2019.

I had written to Andrada last week to ask if she would share her photos with the site, and she was happy to. So you'll see a selection of those pictures being added here, hopefully today, as I finish the final update to the Wales Comic Con page.

Re: Wales Comic Con on April 27/28, 2019.

I'm starting to add information to the site, but I haven't linked it to the front page yet since I'm hoping there will be a bit more to include. RDA just started sending pictures this morning, so I'm waiting to see what he has to share. Anyway, you can click on the Updates section as things are bein...

Re: Website Redesign

Now I'm really confused. I just finished converting a bunch more pages, and suddenly the Google Translate box is appearing again on all the pages in Chrome. A temporary glitch in Chrome? Or do you suppose it will keep working until I get all of the thousands of pages converted, and THEN suddenly dis...

Re: Website Redesign

Okay, so I just spent a couple of weeks re-doing several hundred pages to ensure that they are compatible with older browsers like IE. In the midst of all this, I discovered that the little "Google Translate" option that I installed in the upper right corner of every page was no longer appearing. At...
