Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

I have another one. I've been working on this page of actors who have appeared in multiple roles, and I am skimming through all the MacGyver episodes to capture images (while SG-1 is playing on Comet TV at the same time - talk about a time warp!) Anyway, I got to Blow Out, and the two hoods who rob ...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

He was so proud he remembered, so I never told him I didn’t collect pigs! He’s been gone 11 years, and I still have my non-collection pig collection. Now every time I see a little pig figure, I’ll also think of you, RDA and lemonade. It’s really a thoughtful (guy) thing for him to do. That's such a...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

I always have to think about RDA when I iron our clothes. Sounds strange, but there is a logical explanation. On my ironing board, the plastic part is broken off, where you can clamp the cable from the iron. So I attach it with Duct tape every time and remove it when I'm done. So I even enjoy ironi...

Re: Stargate novels

Wait, there were Stargate novels... and there were around for a while? I both feel like an idiot and am glad I found this forum. I guess I'll be spending some hard earned currency on the first book shop that has these that I find... Do you guys have any recommendations regarding which books should ...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

Hello Yesterday, Donnerstag 12.09.19 An asteroid over Northern Europe. Should have been a secret attack of the Goa`uld? :? :? :? Please inform General Jack O`Neill and SG1 immediately!!!     From Monika with love! There was no asteroid impact, so clearly O'Neill an...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

I always enjoy pop culture references. MacGyver seems to show up more often than Stargate, what with it being a word in the English dictionary now. :D There were several times in Castle when they included a reference to either MacGyver or Richard Dean Anderson, and they always made me smile. In one ...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

So last night at the RDA Chat (small group lately - stop by sometime!) I was watching Big Bang Theory reruns as I chatted, and they mentioned the Stargate episode with the culture from ancient Greece and Rome. I watch Big Bang all the time - don't know why I had forgotten that there was a Stargate r...

Re: Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

Welcome GWhite! So, I had another one. Last night I was watching TV and there was a scene in a store sort of like Sharper Image that involved an electric foot bath and massager, and my mind immediately jumped to my visit with RDA in Toronto. The article I wrote from that day (in the Archives from Au...

Re: Thank you, Kate

It was a conversation on facebook and on instagram by "macgyveronline". It was much bigger than that. Apparently someone found the fake obituary that was posted online back in 2017 but didn't think to look at the date. So they got worried and began asking the question on social media. That worried ...

Re: Thank you, Kate

I'm not sure exactly where to put this, but this seems to be as good a place as any... Apparently no one here was caught up in or fooled by the rumors floating around social media yesterday that RDA had passed away. :o I was getting asked about it, so I did a search, and it seemed that the rumor was...
