Richard appears in two commercials as a spokesperson for MinutePass, a prepaid calling card offered through Telecom USA. In the first commercial, which began airing in November of 2001, Richard describes the advantages of prepaid minutes when calling away from home as the other actors fade from black and white to color whenever they use the calling card. In the second commercial, which debuted in February of 2002, Richard walks through various sets to demonstrate the advantages of prepaid minutes when calling away from home.
